OK....I just ordered my fall/winter air from Aerostich.

Six thousand dollars. Seems fair, it's for three bikes. (DON'T tell my hubby, I put it on the card.)

Apparently installation requires a special tool. Didn't wanna pay the extra eight bucks for it, figured someone here on the forum already has one...Can ya help a gal out?

(p.s. if you don't get the aerostich catalog, this will not make sense. You should go on line and have them send you a copy, a fun read over your morning cereal. I have yet to order anything from them, but one day I will,FYI.)

They are a tad spendy, almost like going to a Harley dealership. However, they are wonderful to work with. I need to call them about a non-functional heated jacket thermostat. It broke this spring. Oh, and they have aviator silk scarves in black now. Yippee! On my Christmas wish list!

I'm in a a quandary (which is next to a pickle, but not as severe as a fix). You see I have a completely original, unmolested Vintage bike - factory fresh. The tyres have long since gone flat however, but I dare'nt pump them up as what air is still in them is the original air fitted at the factory. If I blow them up, it's no longer "stock".
I know people who are sticklers (sort of like pedantic, but not as smelly as anal) that would ridicule me if I were in any way to dilute it's originality.
What to do?

^^^ That's a real dilema! Have you searched online or antique shops for some vintage air that's the same year as your bike? It might not be completely original, but at least you would have air from the same era.

In a pinch you can use a blend of Dextron II (50%), Miracle Grow liquid plant food (38%), and cod liver oil (12%). If you don't believe me, ask any cruiser rider.

Trust me, I'm a trained professional.

And PLEASE don't forget to check your muffler bearings!

They are one of the most important parts of a regular maintenance schedule. Failing to do so can completely destroy a muffler and cause costly repairs. They need to be changed every year!

Just send me a blank check or cash, and I will send a set out to you ASAP. I have thousands in stock. If I can't find it, you don't need it!

Only $99.00 a set. (1 set per muffler is required)

On a serious note though, you do need to check your air pressure now. Air loses volume in cold weather. I filled my tires back in summer, the other day I thought "man, that front looks awfully low". Both of my tires had lost 10psi do to the temperature differance.

Stay safe!

I generally check mine every other ride or so. The little skinny one up front reacts more to the temperature changes than the back one, but I do them both anyway. I even pack a little portable compressor that plugs into my battery leads. It's slow, but in a pinch, it'll work.
