First off, it's not anything affiliated with Toys for Tots, so that won't work... It's the South County Toy Run and it's always the Sunday following the Trucker's Light Parade, this year that would Sunday, Dec. 11th. Usually it's coffee and goodies at 9, then ride out around 11. Bring a new, unwrapped toy or $10 donation to Pizza Palace in Myrtle Creek. I'm working on being healthy for this, my fingers are crossed.

I'm surprised they've chosen to keep it a secret...Then they'll complain about the low turnout...Someone needs to make them aware that for an event like this, most media outlets,(TV,radio, newspapers),will promote the event for free...

I'll look around for a flier. It's just one family that puts the thing on. If someone got sick or some other change happened...

If anybody can get me a copy of that flyer,I'll personally take it around to a few of the local media outlets...

I couldn't get a flier, but I did get the contact info off of one: Randy (541) 863-2755, James & Kathy (541) 430-1639, and Keith (541) 580-7875. Someone should be able to get you a flier or two.

I haven't seen fliers up at either market in Myrtle Creek or Tri-City yet as of today. Huh. It's on though?

Oh yeah. There's one at the video store, but they wouldn't let me have it. : ) THIS RIDE IS HAPPENING. For once, the info that I posted earlier, is correct too. Either show or contact the organizers via phone if you want. I'll be there. Hope I can at least wash the bike beforehand, maybe bleed the front brakes...

I assume the "drill" is the same as last year...... So with that is there anyone who would like to meet for a cuppa joe or a bite to eat in Winston before heading south?

I'll meet anyone who shows up, down at Pizza Palace. (It's practically next door.) Warning, the parking area is a bit smaller now because of the Wilson Rd. extension going on. Get there early not only for goodies but prime parking.

Anybody got pics? I hear Gwen went.

I was a scaredy cat, it was 33*F at my house, figured there'd still be ice on my street. Not worth the risk for me. I did go to town (in my truck) and was surprised by the turn out. Saw bikes zipping around all over Myrtle Creek that day.
