If anyone is interested, this is a really short one and possibly a great way to get your feet wet if you've never done a Patriot Guard Ride before. Starting at 11:30 at the Riddle Courthouse, briefing at noon, ride to the cemetery at 12:30 and post a flag-line till 1pm. Bring one if you have a 3 x 5 American flag, or borrow one theirs. I'm going to see if my hubby will meet us with the car and stand for a bit.

The gentleman who passed is retired Army but I don't care. I ride to honor the families regardless of age, rank or branch.

Of course, now after I post this, I find I may have a conflict. However, if I can maneuver around it, I'll be there, maybe with an extra person or two in tow.
