| Superbiker | Oregon Unclaimed Properties So a couple months ago my girlfriend got a hold of the website for unclaimed properties. Turns out she was there and had a $20 utility deposit that she got back. We checked my name and I have something that's more than $100. I filed for it but don't know how much more over $100. After searching the family her uncle popped up with what turned out to be $50 from something. Long story short you or someone you know might have a few bucks that the state is holding on to. Go to http://www.oregon.gov/DSL/UP/index.shtml and click search now. Good luck to all that try it out... What ever I get back is going into my bike fund |

| Superbiker | Did a little detective work on this and I think I have a good idea of what I'm getting.... If I am correct I'll have enough for another bike and a down payment on a house.... |

| Superbiker | No, not a scam... I had a house in 2006 that Wells Fargo forced me into foreclosure... or at least made it impossible to bring it out of foreclosure. Long story short they sold it for twice what was owed... After the original debt is paid off, minus accrued interest in fee's the balance of what is left over is owed to me. By law they are required to make an effort to get a hold of me which I doubt they even tried, since I had the same contact info and address for 4 years after the date of sale. They then turn it over to the state as unclaimed property. My girlfriend and her uncle both had claims on there and received theirs.. hers was $20 and his was $50 from deposits paid and never collected... Mine however should be the balance of a house the bank made a $25k profit on... |

| Superbiker | Going to check Craigslist for something in the 3-4k range, if something doesn't pull my want strings I'll pick up that ZZR 600 in the Classifieds... I really like that one but would be nice to find something closer to home.... I might also try and find a Yamaha Venture just to see if i can handle that riding position. I may be able to pick one up for $800 then if it doesn't kill my back I can sell it for about as much and set my sights on a 2010+ Concourse.... |

| Superbiker | FYI: To make a claim you need to have the paper you print out and send in notarized... Take it to your bank, most of them notarize for their members for free.... |

Figure the thieves are checking these lists also, and checking obits, etc. Your personal stuff is readily available, so for an investment of about $50 bucks, they could hi-jack your claim. The gov sites stop the value at 100, so that they don't have to deal with the onslaught of hacks. Last edited by RideSlow2004; 02-28-2012 at 08:43 AM.. Reason: spelling typing etc |
