You're off to a good start Mikey. What are you planning on doing with it after getting it running? Chopper it, bob it or ?

Like I told Justin, for now going as close to stock, just forming a baseline.

I love these 60's & 70's bikes and the simplicity of function + style that 'Standards' have. They were the backbone of the times for manufacturers, from these humble bikes came the TT racers, the Cafe, the Chopper, the Touring, the Trail, and the SuperBike (early motoGP).

So I am not sure yet. Might just let her shine as she was made too. I do plan on finding a windshield for upcoming rain seasons and highway frame bars so if she "tips-over" it will be less engine and more cosmetic damage. Less expensive repairs mean more time in the wind.

Sounds like you have a good game plan. Think you'll have it going before summer is out?

Hope so. If not will still ride in the weather, Marina doesnt want me to in the snow until me and the bike get to know each other.
Guessing she means for safety sake. Understandable I have seen how nuts people get in the snow and ice driving cars.
No desire to be a squid mark.

Thanks dave. Not bad, jammed my back a bit. That happens when you land on your butt. Unless you look for them the scratches are not noticable. Mikey the carbs are looking good.

got pics of the carbs and rear fender/tail section lights on the bike
might keep the luggage rack as an alternate piece when needed
but it looks nice without it.

hey everyone!

ive probably givin you all the wave on the road and just didnt know who you were.

im Steffan owner/ operator of Zombie Performance
i build custom motorcycle handlebars and motor cycle fabrication. i dont build bikes except for myself and friends but, i do do the mods and small parts.

you may have seen me on my chopped up lime green Nightster, my used to be stock blue 72 Triumph, or currently my 75 pearl white ironhead chop.
i ride pretty much all year, rain or shine. the only times im not on a bike is when i have to pick up steel or bars from the powdercoater and haul them to the shipper.

anyways, im glad to be here and look forward to meeting you all.

oh yeah! im also hosting my own moto get together im calling Sacralicious Saturdays. im putting them on every second saturday of the month. this one is coming up this weekend (9-10-11).
i dont care what your riding as long as your riding it. i got tired of all the bike nights that are just for harleys, or blah, blah, blah. i want this to be for all the people that just like to ride, work on, build (or want to learm) their bike.

New guy in town. Just moved from Portland to the Green area. Trying to find some good curvy roads, thus far I'm only seeing straight country roads

I ride a 2006 DRZ400SM; get a lot a funny looks around here.

I'm trying to keep my inner hooligan at bay. I've only been here a few days and already got pulled over for a suspected equipment violation (it wasn't).

Thank you! My schedule is very open, I'm a student at UCC but am primarily taking online classes. My only real obligations are Tuesday and Thursday, early afternoon.
