| Newbie Joined: Apr 2012 From: Spokane, WA I Ride: 04' Softail Deuce (FXSTDI) | I'm a little late in letting everyone know that i made it to Spokane safe but i couldnt get to the internet. The ride through eastern oregon was beautiful and the weather couldnt be better. Other than a small cramp in my butt i handled my first long ride pretty well. The best part was heading through Diamond Lake with snow on both sides of the road four feet high. It got a little cold through there. Riding through the sunset in bend on friday night made for some awesome scenery. I stayed over in Prinville friday night and headed the second half of the trip to Spokane on Saturday. In all it took 13 hours to get here going through the beautiful eastern Oregon. I head back in the morning and it looks like the weather will hold up long enough for me to get home. Im going to head back the shorter way (only 8 hours) as i would like to get home in time to relax a little. This has been the perfect weekend to take a long adventure. |

| Training Wheels Joined: May 2012 From: Roseburg, OR I Ride: '81 Yamaha XJ650 Maxim | I live in Roseburg and have been riding for only 1 year. I had my first (and hopefully last) wreck a week ago, Sunday. I got some road rash and the helmet did it's job. The fairing took a beating, so I'm looking for a replacement or the stock headlight/blinker assembly. ![]() ![]() |

| Licensed Joined: Dec 2009 From: orygun I Ride: AMERICAN IRON!!!! | As the weather gets better, people will post up group rides, but honestly, group rides are no place to learn to ride (at least not in my oppinion), learn to ride at your own pace where you are not pressured to keep up, or riding close to others. |

| Superbiker | Best thing to do is take the Team Oregon safety course and go get your endorsement... Its worth every bit of the money even if you just take the intermediate course. Good job getting a smaller bike instead of jumping right to a 100+ hp monster!! |

| Training Wheels Joined: May 2012 From: roseburg I Ride: some Chinese plastic shit. | greetings , my hubby got me to register here, (fastidiots) so guess i should introduce my self. My name is bear. I have purple hair and i'm the eccentric aunt. I ride the Chinese thing in my picture... no i do not remember what its called it's that generic XD but it goes 80 and i don;t look like a hippo humping a beach ball while riding it. which is an important factor for me. I think it's call a zing-yu or some such... /shrug i currently am a student at UCC studying music, and i'm a member of the SCA. i have more crafts and hobbies than any one person should, and the hubby and i are newly into the business of raising and breeding alpacas. We live in roseburg in the green district and are mostly just looking for others to go on lovely long rides with, others looking to train for the iron butt club ride challenge and other bike oriented fun stuff. oh i'm also very dyslexic and hooked on phonics did NOT work for me so i apologize now. so if your a grammer natzi " their, there, they're" everything will be ok, i promise. so feel free to message me talk to me all that other fun stuff, i usualy am always up for a ride .... when not in school XD hee hee hee |

| Endorsed Joined: Nov 2010 From: Portland Oregon I Ride: Stolen | ![]() ![]() I'm 2 weeks post surgery now and it was much worse than originally expected. I broke all 5 metatarsals, shattering the 5th. Shattered the cuboid and broke both sides of my ankle. About 12 bones busted, over 2 dozen total breaks; we lost count. Exposed rod threading the 5th from toe to heel, pins in a few places and 2 screws per each side of the ankle. Here's a few pictures (slightly graphic NSFW) http://konad.smugmug.com/Other/foot/22916837_XPDDrb It would have been nice to ride with you all. I think I need to work on walking first, I'm partial weight bearing sometime mid July. |
