What was that again click?

I live and work in town and try to ride as much as possible even though I get so busy commuting is often the extent of it.

My next bike will be a cruiser too. I like the Suzuki Boulevard. I had a Ninja500 in the past put the look and feel of a cruiser is where I'm at. This Hyosung is great bc it has a wide heavy body and puts on the freeway or highway way better than I expected for a 250. And my wife wants it when I upgrade =)

I think that's my intro. It will have to be anyway, im overbooked today.
Wow that was Quick LOL!! Hey man here it don't matter what you ride, only THAT you ride I didn't realise that A) that was a hyosung, and B) it was a 250, I am both impressed and humbled... It doesn't look like a small cc bike by any means from what I saw of it. nice to see there is another small cc cruiser thats not a rebel... And welcome to the Forum and thanks for coming!!

ya that's the nature of it. in fact i braved a ride to eugene today and was amazed yet again. no matter what i do it's like "no problem" even tho i thought 75 and freeway winds might be. it was very gusty at times, my helmet could tell you, but my bike never flinched. something tells me i should stick with my hunch that when i move up its gonna be a suzuki.

anyway, its great to be on board. just rode to discount accessories in eugene to pick up a headset. how do u guys attach pics to a post? save them to a server and then paste in the link, or is there an easier way that this forum server can handle?

1. What do you mean about moving up to a Suzuki? Does that tie into what you said before that?

2. You're the second person to mention that accessories place. maybe I heard it from varment first. Anyway, I need to check it out.

3. I just use Flickr. I don't think there's anything better in the way of support for uploading pics on here.

hyosung builds suzuki's engines already, about 30 or so years running. and i love the way the boulevard is done, may be my bike of choice actually.

Discount Motorcycle Accessories, right near the West 11th DMV in Eugene, yes a great place to go for stuff =)

That is what I figured you meant but wasn't sure. When you figure you'll move up?

within the next 18 months. and i would go with a bigger hyosung but they look too much like harley look-a-likes for my taste, even tho its a great value. i like what suzuki does with the cruzer look, in fact i have pictures of the boulevard 800 up in my office for inspiration =p so maybe it will be less than a year. my wife wants to take on the little cruizer at that point, wants nothing more than a 250 and i think its probably the best 250 money could buy; she could actually keep up with me if we're just out for fun.

edit: nvm the harley thing, its not. its more like the general sport cruiser look, but i like low and wide.

I never heard of that place before, Let me know when you plan to sneak back up there, I just may want to tag along.... I have a catalog from cyclegear.com that also has a store up there in Eugene, and are very military friendly...

Hey everyone I'm mike from winston. My current bike is a 2008 yam r1 stone stock so far. This is my third streetbike I had a 2005 yam r6 but then traded that in on a yam roadstar warrior it was a nice bike but draggin pegs on every corner just wasn't my thing so I sold that and was streetbikeless for awhile until I got my r1 last year. I am married and have a 5 yr old and a 5 week old both boys. I also enjoy dirt and sand riding, I have a 2002 CRf450 dirtbike and my wife rides a 2002 kfx400 quad, my 5 yr old rides a ttr50. We enjoy camping during the summer months as well. We have taken trips to Henderson flat ohv system over near bend Oregon trips to the dunes are also something we enjoy. We have fun with the graffiti week and the classic cars. I have a 89 mustang gt that I am working on making into a hot rod. It was my first car. We also have a 2002 jeep wrangler that we like to take up in the hills but are waiting on some better mud tires to really enjoy it.

Is that good enough for an intro?

new guy thought I would check in
Hey everybody my names pineapple dave I collect Hawaiian shirts among other things.Anyway signed up to the site last week and it's the 1st chance I've had to check in. I live in Winston and have a 1974 C90 fully restored,if you don't know what it is check the internet for Honda cub90.Mine is Orange with a white leg shield and lots of chrome.I am also working on a 1964 Honda Dream 305 so I can have something to get out of town on.Don't get me wrong I love my lil scooter for riding around Winston and the back roads into roseburg, but it'd be nice to have an option.Hopefully should be going by end of May and if you don't mind a vintage cruiser and rider maybe I can hook up for a ride with the group. My kids are in college so unlike Mike with a new baby I can come and go just as long as I let the wife know.In fact I think I lived down the street from Mike at one time. Both my kids went to Douglas Jake & Ryan and that drumming or loud music was usually coming from my garage if not your place I believe.I'll keep working on the bike and checking back.Be safe people, remember as they say it's not if you lay it down but when....... pd

Welcome Dave, I used to have a 69 Honda Trail 90 that was more fun than I've ever had on a small cc bike, but yeah 45 was about as fast as it would go with the trans in high. It doesn't matter what you ride, just THAT you ride

Thanks that was pretty easy, that's a pik of my lil C90, it is a custom and has a LIFAN 110 in it. With the 110 I can at least get up to 50 most the time, and 55 and on a good day.
People can't miss me much on that thing and I have yet to pass anybody who does not smile when they see it. Went to the Umpqua Cycle shop here in town and could not believe all the comments the riders there made about it. Everyone of them must of had 1 a time or 2, took a 1/2 hour just to get in the store.

Next weekend is a vintage bike show in Corvallis, Saturday a ride and Sunday show & swap meet. Should be fun maybe I can find some parts for the dream while I am there. Was hoping to take the dream and 90 but will just take the scooter since dream is not done. Last year a vespa won the under 150cc class and I think mine is definetly more unique. To bad I can't do the ride it's for 250cc and up, but the OVM club has what they call moto picolo run's for under 150cc at other times of the year. Ypou have the bike night and I'll bring it, Johnny's in Winston seems pretty popular.

Oh that Trail 90 brings back memories....I spent countless hours playing on my dad's Trail 90 in our garage when I was a kid. He bought in 1978 to combat the gas shortage. My mom hated motorcycles. My dad rode it home and my brother who was a senior in high school at the time, got on the Trail 90 and rode it up the street and went to turn around and rode it off the road and into a tree...confirming all of my mom's worst fears. Neither he nor the bike was hurt, but my dad didn't ride it much after that and sold it a couple of years later.

I Ride: I just keep it in the garage and make the neighbors think I ride
My dad bought two trail 110's that we used for camping. After he died, they just sat around at my sisters and gathered dust, so we sold them cheap at a garage sale. Also had some Kawasaki KV 75s. They were smaller but I had more fun on them. Got rid of them cheap too. Seems I should have kept a couple of bikes, seems everyone is into them now.

See what I mean everybody had 1 at one time. To bad Honda quit exporting them to the US. They are still sold in every other country in the world. 60 million + have been made to date.
