Hey, Gwen. Ya' if you put miles on your bike, then your'e not a poser. And if you ride the Duc, then I can see past the cruiser. Also, I am the still proud owner of a 1983 Honda 650 Nighthawk. Just can't justify selling it. Great seeing the Ladies riding. Teacher, Teacher, I declare...do your students know you're a "biker"???

I tend to ride rain or shine and go anywhere there's a road. I think a wet 40 degrees is my bottom limit for cold, until I get the heated vest and stuff.

I am a school teacher for my real job and a new Team Oregon instructor for fun. However, I'm a much better rider now than I was when I started the instructor stuff. I've been riding off and on since '91 and that was with an '82 Nighthawk 650 (miss that bike), a '93 Ducati 900SS and a '94 DR 350S. The Sporty has helped me regain that confidence that I used to have with the old Honda. It sure is nice to find a bike that fits both physically as well as emotionally. (hint - I am vertically challenged)

Someone said something about cruisers with 22 miles on them and posers. Well, I've had the sporty since April Fool's day last spring, and I've already put 4,000 miles on it. Don't have the fancy leathers and stuff, but I'm out there on the road, with a big S#$t eat'n grin!

Gwen

I Ride: Quad, actually: Honda 400EX w/a few 'upgrades' ;)
Smile Intro, yo.
Hey all. I'm Ashley- some of you may know me? I'm one of the few girls proudly proclaiming I know how to ride a bike. No, I don't ride motorcycles- I'd like to someday, but for now, I ride my quad..the love of my life My one tried and true hobby has always been and will always be riding my bike. Rain or shine, cold or hot, you can always count me in. I am working FT and going to college to obtain a degree in Dental Hygiene. I have an awesome boyfriend who rides far better than I do- a true stud. I'm slowly catching up, no doubt. So, I ride a tricked out Honda 400EX (it is possible). It never fails to turn heads- so don't be a hater. I enjoy racing on flat track drags and dirt tracks for points & money =) I will only wear Fox- and always stay loyal. If you have ever gone to the Camas Fun Days- you will recognize me- as I seem to be the only girl (brave?) enough to drag it. Hit me up- maybe we could pull off a riding group?

Take care~

Hey Roseburg. I'm John and I lived there from '88-'92. Joined the Army in '92 and got to see the world for 8 years. Came back to Oregon when I left the Army in '00, and now live between Seaside and Astoria. My parents are still in Roseburg, so I'm down there every few months or so. I had my R1 down there last summer and wish I could've met up with some of you for a ride. I'll keep watching this thread and try to meet up with you guys when I'm there. If any of you make it up to the north coast, let me know, so we can meet/ride up here. You guys have some fantastic roads and awesome summer riding weather.

Thanks for posting in our sleepy forum, John! I rode today, the first dry day in a while. Well, sort of. Saturday there were a ton of riders out but I was snow-bound with my kids in the Suburban.

Cheers.

Don't trust those Beans guys, they'll just come up to you at a bike show and take your picture.

Saturday: PNW Riders at the show

Stay low profile, don't get known on here and stay at home.
