One Track. My buddy and I ran down on Sunday. We ran down 22 to Hebo and fueled up in Beaver. We were told that there was at least 1' of snow on Bible Creek.......Did you make it through? We turned south down 101 hung a left at Newport on Hwy 20 then darted around on backroads through Jefferson and Scio. About 240 miles.

Great time tho.

I did a twelve hour ride last year, from vancouver, to madras ,to fossil,to biggs junction and then back home ... OUCH !!! But I found the best sweepers I've EVER seen while I was on that ride ... They're on the road between Fossil, and Condin... Absolutely awesome...

Not unless it snowed Saturday night. There hasn't been a spec of snow on Bible for at least a month...maybe they were thinking of Meadowlake.

Has anyone any information on the Clackamas R. Rd.? I might jog up there Sunday and eat lunch (or din din) in Estacada. Then I'll head home through Mulino. OR if there are any adventurous types let's go anyway. Couldn't be any worse than Bible Cr. Rd. in Mar.

I'm going to leave my place at about 11. It's around 200 miles so we will probably need 10 hours......lol.

Clackamas river rd. is right in my old stomping grounds Jim... AWESOME ride, beautiful road... But usually a slow moving car right around the next corner, so be very careful

later this summer I'll ride with you up that way towards Detroit lake and we'll take 224 up out of Estacada.. It's killer !!! Be safe tomorrow...

I gotta work on my attention skills. It turns out the shindig with the neighbors that was on for next Sunday is today, so I won't be going up the Clackamas. Like anyone is gonna be disappointed.....but I might fly over it and see what the road is like.

Jim I REALLY want to go for a ride in that plane of yours. I've never been up in a small plane and I would like to try it.. I 've heard it's a lot more fun than riding in the big ones..

Well if it was up to me no problem - name a day. Unfortunately, owing to the size of the plane and weight and balance you are out. Being over 230 pounds puts us in a tail heavy condition which has been known to cause injury and death. Even if you came in weight wise you couldn't fit in the back because of your height, and I am the only one allowed it the front. You could lose the weight but the height? lol

But you are right - they are more fun than the big ones. I went out this morning with a couple buddies who fly similar planes, and we had a blast playing in the clouds. You can't get within a thousand feet of them but you still get a feel for 225 mph.
