TY for asking - I am getting crabby because of the inconvenience....lol but getting along ok. Wife is great and so is the PNWR community. Bike isn't as bad as I thought at first. I can patch the cowl, so it isn't going to take much. I'm going to put on FZ6 bars - they set up straighter, then it is a mirror,TS. and stator cover. Watch for a BBQ soon....

Had my fair share of get offs. Not anything to be proud of but something most of us learn from. Just had a LS (low side) about 2.5 months ago. Hit gravel going about 30mph. Almost went HS (high side) but slipped the clutch and gave her a fist full. Did a 270 in the middle of an intersection and never let go of the handlebars. It happened so fast that...my guess is that I was thinking I could recover even though sparks were shooting in my face. Thank you crash bars for saving the bike. I did however grind my knee down to the bone in the process because I was lazy and didn't put on my riding pants. I rode home and scrubbed it out with a stiff nylon brush (no health insurance at the time) just to make sure I really got the full effect. Hope you get back on sooner than later. I rode shortly there after with a bleeding swollen knee and enjoy the piss out of it.

Wednesday roll call...

So Wednesday night is looking like it is going to clear up a little and won't be raining anyone interested in riding?

YIKES!!! I almost think a broken wrist is better! I have fractured my skull, broke tib and fib, foot, ribs, toes, fingers and all on a dirt bike. This is the second getoff on a street bike in 48 years. You are right - it goes down fast. I put on my gear as an afterthought - it is toast. Went clear through Firstgear pants and a Kili 4 and barely touched me. And those who don't wear a full face helmet are looking to get their face ground off,and there is nothing you can do to stop it.

Sorry, I won't be able to make it tonight - I'm babysitting my granddaughters. Considered three-up riding but know my daughter would frown on that.

They do that in Mexico. I think the most I saw was a family of 5. Son about 6 on tank, dad, little one behind dad, mom and baby on mom's hip. Wish I had gotten a pic!

Mike ... How the heck are you ??? I've been trying to hook up with you but just haven't been able to .. I have been on vacation and had no idea you took a splash, like everyone else, I hope you heal quick and if there is anything I can do for you just say the word! Looking forward to some late summer rides with you.

Thanks Travis - it is getting better fast now - I should be good to go in a week or so. I should be faster now that I know what to watch out for - invisible sand....lol

I'm going to go to FZ6 bars - they set you up a little straighter; close to dirt bike bars. Then I think I'll try it at Pat's Acres in a Supermoto race. I should be faster with the fairing and all.......
