| Pit Crew Joined: Jun 2007 From: Lake Oswego, or I Ride: a suzuki RF900R and a bicycle :) | are these roads passable?! so i want to ride this road called Nestucca river road (which turns into Blaine rd near the coast) from newberg out to the beach. what i want to know is this: will it be a good ride on a sport bike or am i going to wish i had a dual sport? ie potholes, gravel and stuff like that. on google maps it looks like its paved and has stripes which is a good sign but i wanted to know from someone on the ground what i am getting into before i ride 30 miles into the middle of no where only to find that the road washed out or something... me thinks this should show my intended route http://maps.google.com/maps?f=d&sadd...2&ie=UTF8&z=10 Last edited by bicycle_ben; 09-05-2008 at 12:24 AM.. There is a stretch of gravel that lasts a couple of miles when you come over from Carlton. If the road is fixed the best ride is from Beaver to Bible creek road up to Sheridan peak then back down Willamina creek road into Willamina |
