Cortech Sportbag Set
So I've had the Cortech Sport Tailbag for a while, but with the trip I'm taking this weekend, I went ahead and ordered the matching Sport Saddlebags as well.

I mounted them up on the bike for fitment and it was a breeze.

I'll post some post-trip information to let everyone know how they held up.

Here's some pics:

Tailbag was $70 I think. The saddlebags were ordered from Motosport (online, but they're down in Portland). The bags were $119. They ship Fedex 2 day for free for anything over $100.

So, about $190 for the whole getup. I've had the tailbag for a year now and LOVE it. This weekend will be my first use of the saddlebags, but I think I'm in love with them already.

Oh, and they all expand. There are zippers on the sides and they stretch out wider. The photos above are all in their un-expanded state.

Actually, they come with anti-rub pads on the underside. I have used the tailbag for over a year and have -zero- scuffing on my tail-section. And from using the saddlebags to the East/West get together, I can say that they caused no rubbing issues either.

I am a 100% satisfied customer!

Here's some pics of the anti-rub padding:

I just picked these up today at Seattle Cycle Center, same price. Got mine in blue, of course. They mount up pretty nice even on the R6. I'll get some pics this week maybe.

I think you'd have to be a bit more creative, but I'm sure it can be done.

I need to get me some of those. They actually don't make a sportbike look dorky.

I have had these bags since last year. I did some looking around and these were the best looking thing I could find. I ride to work and need to bring things and dont like backpacks. I take them on and off regularly. I love them. They have held up very well for me and I have loaded the hell out of them. Taken some pretty heavy things home from work and such. I also have a large enough area under my rear seat to run the top straps between the tail and rear seat, making the rear seat upobstructed for my woman. Actually I always run the straps between the tail and solo cowl when im not running the seat. It makes it look alot better when not running the top bag, imo. for the bags AND when you load them up it makes lifting the front nice

Yep, top notch stuff, I really like mine, and it's red For you Yamaha folks, they make em in blue too.

I did away with the plastic hooks as those didn't give me a lot of confidence they'd stay put, so I did this to the stock bunjies.

I'm wondering if I could fit all my stuff for this years adventure in those? My duffel had to be so big to hold my old sleeping bag.

I was amazed at just how much stuff I managed to get in there. I should have taken pics when I unpacked.

My only concern would be my new sleeping pad as it's a bit long. But I could just tie it in seperate I guess.

I'm going to go see if they have all 3 of these @ C gear. I'll just take my s. pad/tent up there and see if they'll fit.

Funny how there is always something a fellow could use for 2 wheeled adventures...

I am looking into buying a set and was hoping someone locally would have some feedback on these.

Will a laptop (15" screen) fit into the tailbag?

Indeed. I'd try to put some kind of extra padding in there if it's going to be the only thing you'll carry. It'd be a bit too loose otherwise.

I had to put my tent and sleeping pad on top of the tailbag with a cargo net.

It too held 100%, no problems, even with the... umm... speed at which we were traveling.

Here's another photo. (I ended up re-positioning the tent before departure, but you get the drift with this photo.)

Cortech has a duffle that works with the saddlebags.
Should hold a sleeping bag unless its weird dimensions. Holds a helmet, barely. Buckles fit their saddlebags plus it has built in bungees to use alone. make sure you have duct tape where the bungees touch paint!!!.
See my avatar.
I used red duct tape to protect my paint on long rides. Dust and dirt WILL get in there and the soft padding will make sandpaper.
The constant fiddling on long trips has Me considering hard bags for the 14.
If you are silly and put heavy stuff in the side bags they will mold to the bike.
Once you get the straps adjusted it isnt too bad.
The heat resistant strips on bottom of side bags works.
I overloaded mine midtrip and it rubbed on my exhaust. Chaffed but didnt burn. The rain covers work ok. Got caught in a downpour on N. Cascades and nothing got soaked. Damp but not soaked. Saw frogs drowned in that nasty soak!
Overall a good product for the money. I found the tall tank bag really useful but intrusive.
Nothing moved in a 20 mile blast in the desert. I gots some top speed. Hehehe.

I ride to get away from that shit. what, you big business?

Should easily fit in the duffle but not as cool looking as the much smaller shaped tailbag, just 10x more useful.
