Sidi Streetburners
Editor's Note: I will be holding off reviewing the actual feel of these boots during riding until I take them out on my Kawi this week when I get her back from her paint work. For now it's more initial impressions and fit/feel.

After seeing MCA's post the other day about the Sidi Streetburners (and liking the look of them) I decided to do a little looking around to see when/where these might be available. Having a pair of Discoveries and loving the shit out of those on my KTM, I thought it'd be nice to have something a little more hightop-like on the Kawi. I have some Oxtar EVO boots I wear on occasion, but they still feel a little awkward to me. My A* Stunt shoe/boots hvae done me well thus far and even left my feet completely unscathed in an incident in AZ on my buddy's bike.

Initial feel - these things are shoes. They call them boots, but they're comfortable like the Nikes I wear to the gym. Size is consistent w/ Sidi sizing and fairly true-to-foot, so the 46's - while a little snug - are much improved over the 47's which are a little too big for me.

Buckling system - two clasps - one that hooks the mid-part of the foot and the other across the ankle. Nothing too extravagant on this.

Vents - there are vents on the shoe that open/close as you choose. I don't know if there are the same thing on the Corsas, but looking at it I would assume so.

Ankle stability - I don't have a lot of lateral float in the ankles, which makes me happy. I get a little concerned when boots fit snugly around the foot but are loose in the ankle. My hockey skates are like that and I always use a yard of sock tape keeping them taut. Not a problem with these.

For reference (stock photo) here are the boots. Wife took the little camera on a day trip and I can't find her XTi for photos right now.

And kudos to Motosport.com (based out of Portland) - ordered Friday night and they were delivered today. Over $100 spent gives you free FexEx 2 day shipping.
