Heading down 07/29 via NFD25 from Randle
Sound off from the Westside for SportBike Northwest...oh can't wait!

I'm heading down early Wednesday, 07/29.

NF25 route

Pace: Moderate
Meeting Place: Federal Way, Crossing Plaza at 348th and Enchanted Parkway (HWY18 / I-5 Junction), Starbucks
Meeting Time: 7:45AM
Stands Up: 8AM
Arrive: Depends, 1PM a NF25 crow flies.

Any one from the Westside want to hook up and roll down together?

I Ride: into the ditch =(
Are you familiar with NFD25's condition?

It's ridable, but the road has lots of bad spots, cracks, crevices, patches. The section between Randal and the turn off for 99 is supposed to be the worst, including a temporary wooden bridge with planks to ride on. I've only ridden the section between 90 and 99.

Yes, I've taken NFD25 a couple of times in the past month and is quite ridable. If that is the worst then there is no issue. I have not ridden 90, Meadow Creek, Wind River yet and it sounds those are just fine.

After riding on Skate Creek north of Packwood, NFD25 seems like fresh concrete on an interstate.

Hey GSXCherrios, i'm leaving Renton about that same time, how 'bout we meet at the Randle turn. There used to be a restaurant on the corner that’s good for a waffle or a burger. I usually stop there for a break before heading into the woods.

Sure, I will be in Randle around 10ish to top off for fuel. I will buzz across the hwy to the restaurant and bar. My cell number is in my profile if you need to send a text or call.

Well, there have been a few trains. One kept laying on his horn all the way by. I woke up and thought, "Who the hell is playing with the horn on my bike" then realized it was actually the train.

Odd how they sound so similar...

It's a bit cooler this morning so I'm going to go ride!
