camping gear
So I wanna go to SBNW, especially since I go to boot camp in the middle of august and I don't know how long it'll be until I can ride again. The problem is I don't have the trunk space on my bike to bring a tent and sleeping bags, and I don't have the cash to go out and buy bags to haul my gear. I also don't have the cash to rent gear once I get there.

My question is this, is anyone trailering their bike to get there(my guess is probably not) or bringing their cage? I would be willing to flip a few dollars their way if they would be willing to haul my tent and sleeping bag.

Check the website. They are renting camping gear onsite. That might work for you.

But, he said he can't afford to rent gear when he gets there. (BUMP)!

Before buying all my gear, I used to cram all of it in one or two duffel bags and tie it all down with parachute cord.

I still wind up roping down the sleeping bag and tent though.

Hey chic-a. Pack light cuz we have a camp stove, pop up cover and can bring extra chairs too. That is if you wanna stay by us.

Gotcha, if you have a Bimart up there, check them out. I bought my stuff there years ago and love it, and bought backup supplies (same, Wenzel mummy bag & tent) this last weekend on sale.

That bird is my pride and joy-ride! I also have a Goldwing that get little use, as I prefer to load up the bird and blow town for a weekend!!!!

If we can get a few people together for some bike camping, would be awesome fun. Most of my riding friends wussy out, and solo I go. But it is a lot of fun when you get a group together.

Crap, forgot one of those last year and robbed a steel chair from the campground. Back to the store to see if I can find a small packable chair.

I am set and ready to go. Bought most of my hiking gear to save space and weight at Cabelas.

Yay for me. I got everything on the bike (semetrically) that I will need for the weekend. I even have room for more stuff if I should choose too.

For sure, don't trust that load to bungee cords!

Yeah, definitely make sure it's secure. You may not feel it, if something decides to 'abandon ship' at 60mph.

Yep, I may add a couple more for overkill when I actually get ready to go. At this point I wanted to make sure I could balance everything out make sure it wasn't going to be to heavy. I think it will work.

If you drcide to meet us in the TriCities, we can haul your gear in the trailer.
You really do need more straps to hold your stuff.
Last thing you want is to wrap a bungee around your wheel and cause a lock-up and fall.
