I Ride: When I can
Sport Bike NW Final info....
Greetings Rally Enthusiasts,

We've reached the home stretch. The Sound RIDER! Rally in the Gorge begins a week from today and we're all very excited!

LAST CALL FOR $109 REGISTRATIONS - Online registration closes on Saturday July 25th. After that, you'll be able to do walk-up registration when you arrive for $119. RV spots are currently still available at $40 per spot. That price goes to $50 if you register onsite. Use the REGISTRATION link at the top of the page to get started if you have not already registered.

MASTER SCHEDULE - Our Four Ring Circus will be in motion during the rally. You may be signed up for the rally noted in the banner above, but there are four rallies going on at the same time and you're welcome to participate in any of the events, not just the one's specific to the rally you originally signed up for. To make it easy to see all that is going on, we have posted the Master Schedule online. (read here)http://www.soundrider.com/Rally/2009...hedule-web.pdf

MARYHILL LOOPS ROAD CORNERING CLINIC - We still have a few spots open on our Maryhill Loops Cornering Clinic that will be put on by Puget Sound Safety for an additional $125. Registered participants can sign up for the clinic online. If you're registered for the rally and would like to sign up for the clinic, reply to this email by Friday to get the signup link.

SUPERMOTARDS WELCOME - With every major manufacturer out there producing super motard bikes we wanted to let those riders know that they are welcome at the rally as well. In fact Bruce Scott pre road a number of the routes on his Husqvarna SM.

MAPS & GPS FILES - We will have very nice maps available for all the suggested rides each day. GPS uploads for Garmin units with mini USB connectors will be available from the Sound RIDER! desk when you arrive via connection to our routing laptops. The poker run routes will be available Saturday morning and again we will have GPS uploads available then.

WHY THEY CRASH - As you might imagine, we like to keep crashes to a minimum at this rally. to read why people crash at rallies and what you can do to avoid a crash. You might be very surprised by what we know. (read here) >>http://www.soundrider.com/Rally/WhyTheyCrash.pdf

GOT INSURANCE? - You'll need it if you want to ride the Maryhill Loops Road or travel in Oregon. We have several rides that go through parts of Oregon. If you don't have insurance we encourage you to contact David Lynton at Ride West Insurance (206) 527-5511, or Thury Foster at State Farm (206) 985-2528. Both may be able to get you coverage before the event if you call them now.

WILL IT BE HOT? - No one knows for sure just yet. The 10 day forecast calls for a warm weather when we setup Monday and Tuesday, but by the time you arrive Wednesday, Thursday or Friday, temps are expected to drop back into the mid-80's. Nonetheless we're packing every evaporative cooling vest, water bottle and microfiber sock, shirt and skin we've got to insure you stay cool while you're there. Evening temps look nice in the mid 60's.

DEMOS & VENDORS - Remember all registered riders will have access to our Demo Ride and Vendor area. Ride the KTM's and Ducati's, check out the latest gear, ogle the new BMW S1200RR sport bike and enjoy our onsite food offerings. These areas are not open to the public so be sure you get registered or do the walk-up registration when you arrive.

FAIRGROUND RULES - Please take a moment to print out and read the fairground rules before you arrive. (Read here)http://www.soundrider.com/Rally/2009...nd%20Rules.jpg
See ya next week,

The Rally in the Gorge Team
