OK, so who is going? Anyone? Hello, rally time!!!!! You have until Sat the 16th to save $10!!! This is my birthday celebration(without the family and avoiding an embarrassing surprise party or something worse)! Well, share your thoughts and ask me anything.

I'm going and would like to meet up with whoever is heading out Friday afternoon. I have a couple of questions: 1) Is there wifi available? and 2) if wifi is available do they have 110v in the primitive campsites? If not I guess I don't need the laptop.

Heres what I got from the Web Site FAQS:

Q. What kind of a town is Stevenson? Is there a gas station, grocery store or restaurant?
A. Unlike some smaller towns in the Gorge, Stevenson is modern day with plenty of amenities sporting three gas stations, a grocery store with a full service deli, several restaurants and it’s own microbrewery complete with a pub. There’s also a hardware store and auto supply shop. In fact, in 2004 the downtown corridor and fairgrounds were setup with a city wide free Wi-Fi system, so if you bring a laptop, smart phone or PDA you can surf the web and do email!

Okay. So the odds are that they will have 110v available somewhere. Hmmm, I wonder if it will be worth the extra weight to take along...

From the site "Onsite Camping

Camping is available free of charge to all participants on the fairgrounds beginning Thursday. The west side of the camping area features electrical outlets so if you’d like to recharge your camera battery or laptop, run a sleep apnea machine or otherwise, pack an extension cord and you’ll be all set. To insure you get a good spot arrive early."

Not only will it be worth it, but if you want to do the rump roast 500 you almost gotta have it cause they give the names of places to go to, but not how to get there. That's up to you. 500 miles, 500 points. Kinda a sport touring iron butt thing I guess.

BTW - there's 110 all over the place. No primitaive camping, they actually have showers and full service bathrooms. 110 in the camping and rv areas as well as the bathrooms. Much nicer than some places I've been.

I was going to go, but I can't quite figure a way to get my bike AND my camping trailer there.

I have a ZX6R and a utility trailer... But I also have my camping trailer that I tow behind my Jeep... Can't tow both.

So, I'm probably gonna bail on the event... *sigh*

I even have both Thurs & Friday off from work. :(

No tent???

I have wanted to go for a long time and never could, now I can this year. Going to have to tent it, but I hear it's worth it.

Couldn't get the time off work, so have to leave Friday afternoon.

Anyone else leaving on Friday? Also want to know where the PNW crew is tenting?

I'm too much of a wimp to tent it these days since I've been spoiled by a fully self contained travel trailer...

Drinking and carrying on is not acceptable at SBNW. We are there to pose with our bikes and obey the speed limit to save on our natural resources. The kind of behavior you describe is for sinners.

See you there I leave Thurs. AM and can hardly wait.
