Question 2009 Rally!!
Can't wait for the rally this year!
I am concerned about space this year though.
Concidering that all groups will be attending at the same time.
What concerns me is that it is not really being discussed on the web page and that there will be a few surprised riders come rally time!

last year there was enough room...considering the economy I'll be surprised if that many more people come this time around. It is a blast though !!!!

Honey - Your ID says you ride a Sabre. None of the events involve cruisers so bring your car and be a volunteer - then there will be room for you too.

Fz6206- That's funny! If you new anything about the '82 Sabre you would know that the bike was way ahead of it's time and is the bike that launched the technoligy that is so important today. I bet there are at least five things on your fz that was first introduced on the sabre!
P.s. Not sure where you get a cruiser out of '82 Sabre V45 might you be thinking Magna!

Those Sabres were/are awesome bikes, and would be a lot of fun on the Mary Hill Loop.

The size of the fairgrounds almost made it look under attended. But tent camping was reduced to areas that weren't muddy or rutted out by the carnies.

Thanx Brian, The bike was awesome on Marry Hill, although I was only able to run it once due to a bad thermostat (I think?). It was a warm day and we had been running pretty hard in the treasure hunt! This Sabre has almost 60,000 miles on it and can still keep in sight of the new bike's, it's only limit is it's rider! I like to feel the speed ON BOTH WHEEL'S!. Plastic is fast but seems to burn away even faster!

Rain,Train or mud I will be there for sure! One of the BEST times I have ever had!

No carnies this year - They were supposed to leave before the rally started last year but didn't and when they did they tore up the grass. Much more space for tenting this year and 2 barns for inside parking.

...and perhaps the grass will be green too since it's before the county fair which trashes the grass there.

So with all the groups being combined how are they handling the rides? I know sportbike and sporttouring were combinded last year. Are the suggested rides going to be the same for sportbikes and scooters etc? How is marry hills loop gonna work seems like a lot of bikes trying to be on it at once and some long waits for people to get down...

Well looks like I figured it out. by looking at the schedules for all the groups. It does appear some of the rides are separate on Sat the poker run day the maxiscoot poker run starts at 9am and sportbike/touring/dualsport start their poker run at 10am. Also dual sport and maxi scoot do not have a time listed for marryhill loop road so I guess they are not doing it.

Yep - You figured it out. The suggested rides should be different. The poker runs WILL be different. MaryHill loop will be on Friday (I believe that is what I heard). There will be 2 parking barns and the stage area will be moved to a new area.
Something new this year - also will be "guided" seminars. First class room then ride with the instructors. That is what was being planned.

With the economy the way it is, there are many folks out there wondering if making the rally is even in the card's. I would be one of those!
However the fun I had last year riding the gorge will no doubt bring me there again! I am concered with not only the space for camping but the way rides will be scheduled.

I think it's great that scooter's,cruiser's, duro, and sport will all be there at the same time, shoot they could bring big wheel's to the event.
I just hope we won't be on the same ride! I wont be able to say I'm sorry for screaming past a scooter who is otherwise enjoying his or her ride.

- This year it is even a "5" day event. There will be plenty of camping space - RV parking may be tight - so If you are bringing an RV - reserve your spot. Camping only took up about 1/3 of the available space last year. The Dual Sport and Maxi Scooter - has been much less attended than the Sport Bike/Sport Touring.
As stated earlier - the organized rides are separate as well. We will be bringing two bikes - Sport Touring and Dual sport - All we have to do is decide what ride on what day Looking forward to the guided seminars as well.

Take $10.00 from each check. Put it in your magic sock.
Dont look inside. Just keep adding $10.00 every week.
When its time to go to Sport Bike NW, you will have enough!
Big Wheels are optional!
You dont ride the same loops as the Maxi-Scooters.
BTW, My 600cc, H20 Cooled, F.I. Scooter will do 110 mph.
Wave when ya go by!

Hey, Let's talk BEER! I dont know about all you guy's but I enjoy a cold beer or two or ?after a good ride!

Being that I am a beverage distributer this may be a bias opinion.

I would love to see a wider variety on tap! OR can or botttle in the beer garden.

Just a thought...............

The Walking Man was good stuff, but nothing finishes a days riding like a stout!!!

It would be nice if there was more variety of beer and food in the garden this year.
