It actually, when you're ready to produce after editing ( Which it has AWESOME features for ). You can directly log into your youtube account and it will save, and upload in one sitting to your account. No need to export, then upload it does it all :O

So mounting on a helmet in a sleek, unintrusive manner is non existent for the Pro |

But the rest of it seems fairly subjective. No arguments from me, just wondered if there were solid objective reasons. I've got two Contours (and one on the way), and have been really happy with them (especially the ContourGPS - love the mobile app). Was worried I am missing out on something. Thanks for the quick answer!

I had the Contour ROAM, the low end of their Contour cams. Contour caps on frames as well, I hated the slow-mo options because they were capped at 30FPS so why the hell would I slow it down, just horri-bad. I love my Contour still, just the picture quality in 960p mode was really washed out, and grainy compared to the GoPro in comparable settings. Like I said tho, I have the low end Contour

FPS didn't really bother me so much, since YouTube caps all vids at 30fps, and neither brand can do more than 30fps @1080p. I capture 720p @ 60fps for the higher-speed stuff (track days). 120fps would be nice, but not at WXGA resolution. Don't have any monitors in my home capable of displaying 120fps anyway (LCD TVs only do 60Hz, even those "120/240Hz" liars), so it'd just cause video tearing. I do feel ya on the variety of mount options available for the GoPro. More mounts made specifically for that camera. I guess Contour figure that if you want more than their meager selection, you should just get their universal adapter and buy proper professional gear. That's what I'm likely to end up doing, but it's still kinda "WTF..." Need to figure out a vibration damper. Mounting to the tank makes the video all wibbly-wobbly.

If you put the Gopro at 720P at 60FPS, quality is amazing. I also use the waterproof back door on the bike because the open door gives to much wind noise. Give it a shot. Wont be disappointed. |
