But like koorbluh said who gives a shit, wear your gear and ride your ride and you SHOULD be.fine |

All I can say is I know how to ride a motorcyle but everyone can always learn more about how to ride their bike. Even world reknown racers keep learning to go faster... As for gear to crash ratio, I would rather be able to get up off the ground, pick the bike up, and keep going instead of waiting for an emergency vehicle to save me. However that is my opinion and I am entitled to it Just as you are yours. |

You people can say all you want about "notice and see your surroundings" but you cant see and know everything. It only takes one car or even another idiot on a bike to mess up the rest of your life

This cannot be said enough, let people ride their ride the way they want. If you don't like riding without gear don't! But quit being so goddamned judgmental of anyone who is different.

| Shredder Joined: Jul 2008 From: Cornelius, Oregon I Ride: Everyday | Hot day my gear starts to come off. Would be down to Jeans, T-shirt and Helmet. Gloves and jacket would be stowed. Been riding 30 years been down twice once was a low speed lay down caused by a oncoming car passing another. The other one caused by sheer stupidity and lack of knowledge by a 20 year old version of me. Both times I was in Jeans, T-shirt and a helmet (full face). Both times I walked away with minor abbrasions. I do not push the speed envelope unless I am in gear. Otherwise I rdie at a pace that lets me react to the unexpected. Here is my rule "I will ride my ride the same way I always have and will make it home the same way I always have. You can ride your ride your way and I also hope you make it home as you always have. I will not adjust the comfort level of my ride to accomodate the comfort level of yours." Again learned this at the age of 20 the hard way. Been 26 years since I was on the ground hope to make it alot longer. Pointing out squids is discrimination based on actions and gear alone |
