I see it going the way of testing time sheets....,Bunch of Hondas leading a Bunch of Yamahas, trailed by Rossi and Hayden then comes the CRT machines.
Dani or Casey taking the whole deal.
Hope not but it appears the Hondas are too much again.
Sigh...,it aint working out for Rossi and Ben just might have enuf for the Aliens on good machines. Close but this year.

  2. I really want Spies to win it!
    'MERICA!
    or maybe a satellite team.

...but i think casey is pretty infallible.

And i think like most people, I really hope Vale is competitive this year.

  3. When the limited amount of fuel comes into play, most of the bike lap times will be slower

  4. Rider strength & endurance will be more important now too.

...so yeah, Spies will give some more close finishes much like what we saw at Valencia last season. And probably Stoner for the championship again?

Hard to bet against Stoner, but it should be closer this year. I think Spies will be tough over the full race distance, as he has show he can manage his tires well (thanks, Matt!). I also think the Duc will be closer, but not sure about the top of the podium? It will be very interesting to see the CRTs, how close they can get, and whether they get more "help"?

  6. The best thing ducati had going for them was Stoner. Now they have two chumps. Stoner is going to have nearly a perfect season, with only Pedrosa able to occassionally beat him. Spies and George will tie for third. The rest do not matter, all losers.

Pedro will have the fuel advantage on the factory bikes, it will come into play more this year.

    Honda takes 1st and 2nd.
    Jl 3rd
    Rossi 4th

Edwards gets one podium and the only CRT bike to do it all year.

    My predictions.

  8. Spies is gonna do things this season.

  9. As much as i like the yamaha boys stoner looks strong again. Ducati and crt will make podiums if the yamahas and hondas all crash out.

I can see it now. Top 3 comes into crt lapped traffic and crash happens. Rossi ftw

  10. Jorge wins his second title. If you look at the numbers, he's just way too consistent over a race-distance. I doubt anyone else has the pace to stay with him for the entire season, barring injury.

Casey second, Dani third. Then Spies/Dovi/Rossi in no particular order.

  11. consistently slower than stoner on a honda.

  12. Stoner takes it all, anyone on a CRT bike may as well be riding an EX500.

    crackup:crackup:

I see the top 4-5 flashing away at the start of a race and then cruising for the win if fuel becomes a issue.
The CRT's might be competitive somewhere in the future, but the riders will not be in the same league...., ever.
Dorna's Carmelo Ezpeleta wants them to be competitive and will work against the factories wishes to make this happen, but there wont be enough fast racers to compete against the Factory guys.
I doubt a CRT bike will ever see the top of the podium and rarely be in the top 5.
As far as Ben....,sigh....,I really want to see him win it all, but not til the Yamaha in the equal of the Honda and then.....,just maybe.

  14. If ALL the the bikes, CRT or factory, ran the same spec ECU they could do a lot to bridge the gap. Right now with computers being such a big force in racing the team with the best army of laptop junkies is at a pretty big advantage.

Force everyone to run an affordable ($10,000??) spec Magnetti Marelli ECU with limited TC and data acquisition features, then you will put the CRT, satellite, and factory teams a lot closer together. It would also save money on engine development, especially since they are 1000cc bikes. You can only use the power you can put down to the ground. Without the super advanced electronics the difference between a 230 hp bike and a 250 hp bike will be pretty much nill.

There has been talk of a spec ecu, like in F1. I think the CRT teams will get more advantages as the season goes by. Well see...

  16. Stoner has yet to test race simulation distance. Yet Jorgays comments regarding his simulation make me question if Danny Boy can go the distance. :stir:

  17. The sparce starting grid will be the end to this orginization, but in the meantime. Rossi on the new Duc will win what, his 15th championship? crackup:
