Here's a test of the touring

    http://www.ashonbikes.com/content/moto-guzzi-california-1400-touring

the touring is 710lb wet. So the Custom will probably be around 50pounds lighter sans windshield, bags, extra lights, 2 up seat, etc.

If I wanted a cruiser right now....that custom would be it!

  4. Damn...this deserves posting one more time. I love the cut out to make space for the 'sideways' motor.

Does the semi-opposed piston set up make it close enough to a BBB (Bavarian Battle Barge) to render it acceptable? :nana

It aint sideways. It's the rest of the bikes that are out of whack.

I've always loved Guzzi's. My brother owns a 2004 V11 Cafe Sport, my dad had the same model for a while too as a city bike before he had the S1000RR. I've spent plenty of time on both of them (my brothers is pretty heavily modified, other one was stock) and I tell you, those engines are FUN. There's nothing like the character of a guzzi.

Dang - That is more than ME & the Duck combined...
Although - NOT getting moved around by wind gusts on the roads would be rather nice...

Can't compare a small naked bike to a big 1400cc cruiser.

I really think that Custom might be the most beautiful motorcycle on the market right now.

    REALLY??!!?
OK I'll take em, I'll take them all!!!

The Moto Guzzi has trick looking shocks....,

  11. What's up with the headlight, though? I mean, they're doing fine with the rest, then they get to the headlight and jump a century or two?

Hmm - maybe they did it to attract customers away from BMW? crackup:

    I dunno boys,.

Ducati came close to what I am looking for in a cruzzer.
Just too much sport, got the 14 for that.
The 1700 Thunderbird is real close, just not enough handling.

The Custom looks to be a real answer.

Loads of torque and a truly unique bike to boot.
Now does it handle well for a heavyweight? More will be revealed..

Like the 14, I love the look and its rarity.
Many dont agree, but its about Me.

    Indeed....,
It would be nice to be able to just ride in and get one. Probably trade in the ZX and just make the change. Alas, it will have to wait as I dont finance bikes.

  15. A BBB is just a Guzzi with saggy jugs.
