Post up if yer in and around Sno County and want to meet up for a ride.
There's a scooter section?
Have off Friday.... looks like a soggy one, but I have gear. Anyone wanna hear 8K rpm of fury ??
Probably will do some bombin around the hood Thursday evening. 40's riding sure is better than riding in the 30's...... I'm diggin my glove warmers...
I usually ride a bit every day if possible. Riding Thursday PM, Friday, Saturday, & possibly Sunday.
I have 3 females in the house, I need all the escaping I can get.
Post up, let's roll for a cup of Jo or hops n barley..... Are motorcyclists scared of two-digit riders?... maybe just jealous we have more smiles than you do. Woot Woot !!:nana
Hey! I just moved to Lake Stevens! I ride a 09 ruckus and I don't know the area that well at all! So stoked to see another ruckus. I am so down! So many questions ha! Is that Chanito's windshield? I was just talking with dude about putting a chrome edging on mine! What do u folks all ride? Why do I have to use so many exclamation marks?! Looking forward to hearing from you!
Nice one dude!!! sweet! Another exclamation just to be cool !! woot woot! I'm workin on mine tonight, have to adjust the timing a bit.
We have some Portland Ruckstars coming to town and stayin at the HueJass pad Friday and Saturday. We are rolling to Seattle. I have off Friday, so will be pickin them up Friday PM and escorting them north.
Pm me yer digits if ya want to roll with us, or if ya want to get together and do some modding.
Hope you have rain gear!
Mine is a bit bigger than a Rukus. But I do ride with smaller ones at times. My Burgman makes a good tail gunner and chase bike. Most cars dont want to mess with me like smaller scooters. I can ride most Sundays and Mondays.
Yer in auburn, this the snohomish county meet thread..... long ways from auburn, maybe not on a burgie..... not to much interest in this thread, thanks for saying howdy.
Cruzing around Snohomish/Lake Stevens area Friday evening, 3-11, probably dusk/night riding by the time I get on the scoot.
It' only supposed to be about 40 or so as a low, so warmer than normal. No rain until Saturday.
Post up if interested.
Tuning Rucks for Spring Scoot this weekend....... Any of you lurkers going?
This forum is so popular, I can't keep up.crackup:
We had our 15 min of fun.
....still ruckin down here.
Just did some much needed maintenance on the Ruckus and I'm now ready to ride! Also I chopped most of the duck bill on the rear fender off. It's just waiting for some sanding now. Relocated the front turn signals to the reflector brackets and vice versa. Got some red rim trim and decals waiting to get slapped on. Got my magnetic oil bolt on finally. Oh what else? Cut and stuck red vinyl electric tape on my cig lighter socket to go with my red/black/chrome scheme goin on. Hopefully ill be relocating the speedo and turn signal indicator into the battery box this week! Just a little Lake Stevens FYI. :thefinge:
*Edit* also slapped on some headlight grills!
I picked up some rubber "plasti-dip" (the stuff u dip tools handles and such in.) and I'm going to pull off my brake levers(and maybe certain bolt heads and my speedo chrome.) and give them a light coat. You're more than welcome to dip yours as well if u like . It is red though so I don't know if you'd dig the color or not. Should give them grip make them look nice and keep them from being cold. Or if u like the idea its only like 8 bucks for a good size container in many colors. :stir:
I gotta see that
I added a photo of someone that had apparently beaten me to the idea above. At least there's a working example. opcorn: This is the stuff I got:
It shows yellow but its red. Can't wait! The only problem is that I can't think of enough things to dip. I'd wager u could probably get 20 brake levers coated off one can. Hmmm maybe ill dip the dog...
the best thing you can put on a Ruckus is miles.
Almost to 13K now..... the wife and I had an awesome ride today.
I'd invest in some exhaust and a variator..... they help in performance. Most peeps we ride with are always trailing behind.
Leo or HMF have a larger header pipe than most..... don't get a Yosh Tricone, same performance as stock.
If ya need some variator tuning help, let me know. I have all the tools. We were doing 45 on the flats today.....
A lot of peeps mod their Rucks, and end up modding more than riding. Don't be one of them.
Enjoy the Ride...
So I got home from work in Stanwood around 12 am started pulling things to dip.
Starting from the left: The metal piece that holds the brake cables at the front fender,
brake lever, peg, peg, brake lever. It looks so good drying I've left it to dry overnight and hopefully ill be able to at least trim any excess tomorrow before I rush off to work.
Tomorrow ill post a couple short videos of the process from my laptop. My phone wants WiFi to upload them. 8)
Hey thanx. I would absolutely love help tuning the variator. I'm clueless when it comes to comes to that stuff. Same with exhaust advice would be great. Those roads look nice too. Gonna be great to have ppl to ride with!
