Dang I feel like I'm rippin people off on ebay this week.. 2 Suzuki OE head gaskets, valve cover and base gaskets for $70 Those head gaskets are $100 each from the dealer plus $15 a pop for the other ones. A like new set of K&N pods for VM carbs.. $35.. Yeah.. It's just a gloat post
Hey sschering.... Did you ever sell your bike? Im pretty sure we ended up with it in our group.... We were just looking up photos of "cafe racer gs1000's" on Google and noticed the home made linkage bracket on Ricks bike. Did some digging and found this thread. We have been laughing because Rick ran into the same stuff you had to fix when you got the bike. Anyhow, if its still yours, then we have a machining anomaly because someone made the exact same bracket for a 79 GS1000!
