JB and I went on a great ride today that has become a personal tradition. I try to hit the Fall colors when they are at or near their peak and ride to the end of the pavement up the Little Wentachee. Gorgeous scenery. Interesting blacktop complete chuck holes, moss and a little slush up at the top. It was 44 degrees at the lake and 38 at the end of the road. The ferns have gone yellow. My new heated grips really paid off today. The two modern conveniences the Tiger 800 does not come with that I really wanted were heated and an ambient temperature display so I bought heaters and a multifunction unit from Rider Warehouse that also includes battery volts and a nice big clock. Now I know why I am cold. Actually only my feet got cold today. I either need warmer boots or warmer socks.
