Changing riding style

Discussion in 'Motorcycle Talk' started by Nwcid, May 14, 2017.

  1. I am a huge fan of sport style bikes and have owned them for many years now. I currently have a 2011 Concours.

In the next year or two I see my riding style changing. The wife and I want to do some more traveling and exploring State and Federal land. Much of this will take us off the pavement and not well suited to the Concours.

With that said she dose ride her own bike, but for traveling we will be limited to 1 bike. Does anyone have good recommendations on what to do? What is a good bike that is capable of this type of riding?

    Thank you.

  2. Any large Enduro style bike. The KTM, BMW, Suzuki, Yamaha, Honda all have them among others. From experience the BMW GS models are excellent touring bike but has tubeless spoke wheels and wheel sizes that fit tires of varying off pavement competence. It's also passenger friendly.
