    Hey,
I saw an officer on Kawasaki and was not sure if I need to wave to him. Well, I did it, but he did not wave back. :(
There were no cars around and the road was straight, so nothing would happen if he took his hand of the handle bar.

  5. Yeah. There's no harm in trying to be friendly to anyone. Even scooter riders. :)

  6. I do. Sometimes they wave back and sometimes they don't.....just like all of the other non-LEO riders I wave to.

  7. I do. Never had one wave back though.

  8. I do. Most of the time, I don't bother looking for a wave back from fellow riders, anyway, so I give them all the wave, even scooter riders. Hell, I wave to bicyclists too, and to motorcycles when I'm on my bicycle.

What can I say, I'm friendly....

  9. I give the wave, surprisingly they usually wave back.

^^^ This. And if I've been misbehaving, I think it throws them off a little to carefully evaluate any speeding errors or other transgressions.

Worked so far. And my elephant whistles have kept those from running out onto the hiways too.

  11. Seems how we only have 1 or 2 in Roseburg, I do..and only get a head nod back from them

Did you use the entire hand or just one digit.

The devil is in the details. :nana

BTW: I love to wave at LEOs. It may confuse them, but it amuses me, and on my planet every day is "All About Larry Day."

    Desvio likes this.
  13. I've waved at our police on the new Concours multiple times and they never wave back. I still keep waving though.

  14. I wave at cops in any vehicle.

  15. Only people I don't wave to are cruisers. I'd say %90 of the time I get a wave back from cops. I actually tapped my helmet last week to warn a rider about a speed trap, and the other rider was a bike cop. Whoopsie.. He waved back and smiled though, so all good. Maybe I saved him from getting a ticket?

  16. I used to wave all the time (used to see them on aurora over the divider )
    They never waved back..

I started to feel like I was drawing attention to myself (which I usually do in 20 other unfavorable ways).. so I quit.

    Maybe I'll start again.

I wave, and they almost always wave back. Although sometimes I they look at me weird, like "why the heck is that guy waving at me". :crazyloc:

  18. It it has two wheels and a motor they get a wave.

  19. We don't have motorcycle cops out here, but I wave at every single cop I see (distracts them from their radar!!)

That, and most the police around here seem to be pretty good folks.
