I've been using DuPont Multi-use dry wax on my chain for a few years,
but apparently they've changed the formula and no longer recommend it for use on chains.
I've still got a can of the old formula, so I'll use that up.
Here's a writeup about the the specifics.

DuPont Chain Saver is really good stuff. I used it and preferred it to Bel-Ray, PJ1 Blue Label and Maxima Chain Wax.

I don't use spray on chain lube anymore. I installed a Scottoiler and my chain squirting days are over. When I installed it, I had no idea how much time and hassle it would save compared to using spray lubes. I just fill up the reservoir every 1000 miles.

You know how your bike rolls around easily right after you lube the chain? My bike feel like that all the time, because the chain is always perfectly lubed. The Scottoiler kept my chain from rusting over the winter. They salt the local roads like crazy for 4 or 5 months and even lubing the chain every week or so (250 miles) the chain would rust and need replacing soon after. No rust since installing the Scottoiler.

There's no more mess on the rear wheel than with spray on lubes, once the unit is set up correctly.

The big advantage, as I see it, is up to double the chain life. Many people using them claim to get double the chain life and more. To me, that's a big deal.

But, IF you're going to use spray lube, Chain Saver is a very good choice.

It's way too late for that, the Teflon Chain-Saver in the 4oz squeeze bottle is all you will find, I went on a hoarding run a few months ago and there where no spray cans of DuPont Multi-use dry wax to be found anywhere :secret:
