  1. Tis the season to start thinking about the event.

Weekend before Mothers day is the April 30th May 1, and 2nd.

Are we doing those dates again? Chelan again?

    Edit
Chelan again it's sounding like the place to be.

    First!

Last year we did the 15th/16th/17th, so it was a couple weeks later. If we did the same weekend, it'd be the 14th/15th/16th this year.

Chelan has worked well every year thus far, the rangers have been great, and there's always been plenty of space for us to spread out.

I'm totally up for Chelan again, but am happy to hear what the hive has to say before we settle on anything specific.

  3. I think there is a place around Leavenworth that could accommodate the bunch....

    just a thought

  4. Humm I'm kinda torn.

Chelan because consistency allows the event to get bigger and better year after year.

Levenworth because it could be real cool if the place we are doing the event actually supported us being there. Can Lizis place handle 100 or so people?

  5. there was 150ish for puddinfest

Price will be a consideration regardless of venue. I believe my campsite at Chelan for the two days last year was about $45. I'll check and see if the prices have changed for this year.

    ***edit***

Ok, so I checked it out:

    2009
    $19/night for tent site + $6.50 web booking fee. Total = $44.50

    2010
    $21/night for tent site + $6.50 web booking fee. Total = $48.50

  7. In for Chelan...and Lizi's place isn't really that far away...good group ride activity!

I vote for supporting the park for the big EmW and Lizi's the rest of the year...I'm guessing there might be a Puddin' Fest 2.0?

  8. What kind of event is this? :scratchea

  9. Chelan is cool if you have boats, and stuff :) without them, its not so great

  10. dont worry, your not invited :nana

  11. I had a blast without the boats but we sure had a lot of stuff!

  12. In, and all for Chelan again, tho I'm guessing the rangers will be groaning when they see that first bike pull in. Well that, or Grant's RV.

  13. Stuff...like bikes? Yeah...makes it a blast...lil 2-stroke FTW!

You're right, the rangers were cool as all hell considering what dicks we are...so, Chelan all the way...just bring cups for the "apple juice" that smells like beer.

  14. Hey guys! #1, thank you for suggesting my place here in Leavenworth for EMW, that's very cool of you :)

As those of you know who have stayed here or visited,

It would be a little harder for me to handle that many campers and RVs as I don't yet have dedicated hookups nor permanent outdoor showers for campers so it gets tricky to accommodate more than say 10 camp sites or so...and I only have sleep space in the cabins for 20. Having 150 people ON the property is no trouble at all, but having more than say, 40 people sleeping here, well, who knows!:)

But its so nice of you to think of us :) and of course I will love to participate in any way I can with EMW2010, last year there were so many people stopping by to say hello! Perhaps a ride on the Saturday, who knows:)

HMMMM....I was just thinking that perhaps that would be a great day to put up a huge slip and slide on the hillclimb at the little minitrack...mite be fun and worth a ride over for that and bratwursts in Leavenworth town :) :ninja::mrgreen::evil4:

  15. Ohhhh, Lizzy. I so want to shuck your corn!

  16. Lizi, I think most camp... you have laid out your campsites before.

I am not pushing for either, just poking my nose in. And you kids need to recall, there are some .... seasoned.... people around, who dont want to sleep on the ground :)

Thanks for chiming in Lizi. I was hoping you'd kick some info.

That being said, I'm guessing we should stay with Chelan and if a day trip gets set up to cruise into town (as was done last year), then that can be arranged.

Hey Evan... are you and Chris going to do the map and list who's crashing with who in what tent spots again? That was really helpful last year.

And from looking at the camp sites earlier, it looks like the May dates are still green. I know this thread was just posted this morning, but if we can settle on a day fairly quickly, we should be able to take over half the campground once again.

  18. Izn't that what McDonald's bathrooms are for? :scratchea

    :)

Yeah, that's right I don't want you sleeping on the ground. I want you sleeping on my *friends :)

  20. So...the weekend pre-Memorial day good with everyone? (May 21st-23rd?)

Its the best chance of decent weather and temps possible, plus less expensive since its the last weekend before summer camping season, and the tourist price-rape hasn't yet begun...
