My son called me as he was passing the scene not to long ago. He stated there was a motorcycle crash near Jacksonville on Hanley Rd, between W. Main and Rossanley Dr. My son saw the bike off the road (could not make out any colors), and a tarp or cover, covering the rider. Currently, that entire area is blocked off. Still can't find anything in the news. February 13, 2013 A Central Point man died in a motorcycle accident Tuesday night after crashing his bike into a power pole on Hanley Road, police said. Scott David Nuckles, 54, was eastbound in the 1000 block of Hanley Road at 6:39 p.m., when he failed to negotiate a left curve, drove off the road and hit a power pole head-on. Nuckles was pronounced dead at the scene. He was wearing a helmet. Oregon State Police said the crash is still under investigation, but that excessive speed is being considered as a possible cause, according to a news release. Responding agencies included Oregon State Police, the Jackson County Sheriff's Department, Medford and Central Point police, Jackson County Fire District No. 3 and the Oregon Department of Transportation.
