Before I bought my GS500 last month, I had my eyes on an 80s model Nighthawk 750, the bike needed a full restoration so I talked to a mechanic about the bike who advised me not to buy the NH750. The weather over here in summers is extremely hot and the mechanic had to say that despite the oil cooled engine the Nighthawk 750 can be a nuisance while riding in traffic whereas GS500 despite having an air-cooled engine is very reliable and no heating issues. Long story short, I didn't buy the NH750 and got my GS500, loving it and yes it doesn't heat up too. The question is, is it true about overheating of Nighthawk 750 as my mechanic told me? A friend wants to buy one and asked for information on the overheating issue..
