  1. Some knew I was looking. Broke down and picked this up on Tuesday.

Keeping the Guzzi but will ride this more when 2up.

and a big thanks to Mr. Blues Brothers for the pre-shopping scouting.

I'm thinking I need to get DASOFA for a license plate.

    That's a really nice car.*

Are you going to get a trailer so that you can have a motorcycle with you too?

    *It is a car, right?

  4. Already getting AARP and scooter ads.

Technically it still only has two wheels...

  5. I'm right there with ya buddy. It won't be long now. Already hoping the next busa is longer, wider and with a cup holder.

  6. I was hoping for the AC option.

If you travel a lot, AARP is great for the 10-20% hotel discounts.

    Trust me.

  10. What does your AC stand for?

    Yup, that was us.

  11. I was thinking boat :scratchea

Just kidding, that is a really nice bike. 1800 Dayum! I must confess I have been much attracted to some way older model Goldwings myself but for other reasons. Enjoy.

  12. Congratulations guys! I kind of knew this was going to happen when you facebooked that you were in Spokane looking. That's a major investment & a great motorcycle. No other bike holds it's value like a Goldwing.

Anyone that gives you crap about a Goldwing has never ridden one. They are fantastic to ride & rock solid reliable. Plus...you meet the nicest people on a Honda!

I'm looking forward to riding with you guys! :thefinge:

I would say your not getting old so much, as just smarter. If I would admit I'm no longer a kid that's what I would ride. It takes aspirin pre-trip and more when I park the torture machine/I mean bike. PS Very Nice...AJ

I must disagree. I've had a couple of gold Wings and I gave Slygrin some crap, but then i do that for everyone. :nana

My '76 got me and the Admiral all over Washington and up into Canada, and the '84 Aspencade did the same, along with some interesting dirt roads that we found playing "I wonder where this road goes" and having the pavement run out before the adventure was over.

Good score on the Honda-bago, but never lose the love of the goose.

  15. It's all in good fun. I knew I'd get some ribbing when I posted, would have been disappointed if I didn't. At least I didn't get a HD :nana

Rode the Guzzi yesterday for the first time after getting the wing, never thought it would ever feel small! It will be interesting switching back a forth between them.

I thought about changing my avatar from a tribute to the classic Italian twins to something more in line with the wing.

Just a suggestion, don't Google Image search "Big Blue Butt" when your wife is standing behind you....

  16. Not an everyday bike but anybody hating on it is just jealous. I'd love to have one for touring.

Now! Now! Everyone! Be nice. We don't want to turn this into a 'How about a Positive Goldwing Thread'. :stir:

:secret:At least wait til drinking hours.

As for you Slygrin, congratulations on the new bike. Just take her down a nice twisty road and scrape the luggage a few times, and that should shut everyone up.

  18. We rode up to Leavenworth via Blewett pass. Rode the curvy parts of the old Vantage highway at 75 - 80. Handled it fine. Didn't scrape anything yet.

Now if I can keep SWMBO from spending what little I have left.
