  1. so...last night carl and i were stripping all the street stuff off my bike and got started on prepping it for racing/track days

put on new rear sets, sliders, case covers.
pulled all street plastics, lights, signals, plate, etc.....

got the tail section, tank cover and front fender placed on the bike.....then carl went home

as i was cleaning up the garage/work area...i decided to hop on the bike thats on a lift approximately 14-16" above the ground
bike was on its rear stand on the table/lift

i sat on the bike checking to see if the rear set placement was good and heard something either fall off the bike or off the lift.....i leaned over to give a looksy and could swear i heard someone yell
TIIIMMMMMMMBBBEEEeeeeeerrrrrrr!!!!! as i fell with the bike onto the Turkish red carpeted garage floor
after wrestling myself out from under the bike...i found broken parts that need to be replaced

lesson learned: always check for bbq sauce wherever you are...its reported to have seen bbq sauce on the stand and my tires were prolly off pressure
also...note that when i removed my license plate...some gravel fell onto the stand where the bike was located......i'm also pretty sure the oil i'm using caused weight transfer to the bike to be altered a little
i'm pretty sure that little $.05 piece that fell off my rearstand is also to blame. as the bastard manufacturer does not offer it as a replacement part
  2. Actually there was a quake on the moon last night and it cased a momentary gravitational shift only in your garage.

  3. :bs:

You wuz lookin ta see how kewl ya looked all tucked in and thought, "I bet I can get a knee down"

  4. ouch what next..
thanks for the reminder about the bbq sauce, it's easy to forget and become complacent

  5. its almost like you were there

  7. SO guess the new suspension work didn't help your lean angle?
  8. er hum... no tie downs?
I have tie downs attached to 9/16 eyelet bolts when I'm doing setup...
    yes monkeys are holding them

at least the bike wasn't would be toppled AND you'd have white smoke in the garage (but just a little, from the exhaust).
