In-N-Out Burger slab ride? This Wednesday.

Discussion in 'Roseburg' started by gfeero, Jul 16, 2012.

  1. Yeah, I have all this time once again, and the desire to drown my sorrows with extremely fresh french fries and a chocolate shake. The burger I can duplicate at home, but I'd get one anyway.

The nearest one is Redding, CA. About an eight hour round trip. Who would consider it? Anyone down south can jump in along the way, otherwise it's kickstands up at 7am from the Chevron at exit 103 (Pruner Rd.)

Anyone willing to make the trek? They have t-shirts.
  2. I did that last August and got the t-shirt, but without the slab. I will do it again sometime, but I'm too far away for this trip. Have fun. It gets really hot down there.

    Doug (R1 Jackal).

    Doug and I.

Bob and Doug. Notice the big white towel over my seat. Tried to keep it cool.

Damn, I wish there was one closer!

  4. In & Out......HHMM, never heard of it.

It sounds like that place that is 414.7 miles from my house to there front door.
  5. Hmm 518 miles from my house.. Get a burger and join the IBA..

I'm not ready for that ride yet..

Let me know when ya wanna go!:mfclap: Me loves them Burgers!
  7. Leaving tomorrow. Weather looks good. Some thunder-bumper activity around Dunsmuir and Weed toward the afternoon, but otherwise should be good to go.

James1300, your avatar says you're Central. Would that be Oregon or Washington? I'm leaving Tri City, OR around 7 am. If you're interested, pm me. I'll be checking in periodically between now and then. Linking up with someone in Weed should be no problem. Should be between 9:45 and 10:00 going by Google Maps.

TriCities, Wa! Bring me one back!
  9. Sorry dude. My daughter says that the fries do lose something when they get cold and stale. She's a teenager. I think she knows more about this than I ever want to. I'll just have to post pics, especially if I make it.

    Have a great ride!
  11. Made it there and back alive with no close calls, hiccups or problems. Ahhh, real beef, fresh baked buns, ripe tomatos and fries that you can watch being made from the peeled potato. It just doesn't get any better than that. Yeah, there'll be pics. I just need to get them all into photobucket and off the camera and the phone.

If I had to wait for others to go with me, I'd still be dreaming of an In-N-Out burger run instead of telling about how great it was. It was really great!

Hey! Keep post'in up when ya go!
    I WILL make it sometime!
Glad ya had a fun, safe ride!
  13. Outstanding! I need to make another bike trip down there. I'll actually go through Redding in a couple of weeks with my whole family packed in the Suburban. Now we're going to have to make a pit stop at In-N-Out.
  14. Soooo, pics and it did happen. First is the usual pit stop at the Weed Airport Rest Area. [IMG]

Next, proof I made it! The Sporty with the In-N-Out sign behind it.[IMG]
My order with the Sporty in the background. [IMG]
Mt Shasta at the Dunsmuir View Point on the way home.[IMG]

I have no idea why my pics are so small now. When I first started this stuff, they were normal sized and you could see them. Now they are slightly better than thumb nails. Any idea how to fix this?

Oh, high point of the day, other than the burger and fries? Getting a knuckle bump from the kid at the register when I said I'd traveled four hours one way just to get my burger.
  15. That's awesome! You even parked in my spot.
  16. Great minds and all that stuff.

    Awsome! Knuckles and ALL!:mfclap:
  18. Thanks. Don't know why but some folks really have a hard time thinking short, fluffy gals like myself can go on a road trip alone. Yeah we can.

This was why I spent the extra bucks and got a newer bike, one that I can trust to go places and not leave me stranded on a regular basis. 28,000 miles since I bought it used, and she's only stranded us twice. Once for a short in the instrument cluster and then last fall with a broken belt caused by my trying to bump start after leaving the ignition on. So, one that was an accident and one that was rider error. So, the old girl has done me proud, especially today.

  19. This probably isn't your problem, but just in case,,,,

  20. No, that actually might be the problem right there. Here, I'll try posting the pics again and see what happens.[IMG][/IMG][IMG][/IMG][IMG][/IMG]

So, let's see how this looks.
