If anyone comes across an old, cheap ATV at a yard sale or just for sale in someone's yard in the Tri-Cities can you let me know? My family is looking for one since we are going to be spending a lot of time at my parent's cabin in the mountains this summer break. I can't afford to get a new one, or a really expensive used one (at least not until they start paying us public school teachers a bit more), but if it at least runs I am pretty handy with my tools and can get it in good enough shape.

Also, haven't given an update on my son in a while. For those of you who remember what happened to him a few years ago.

He is doing great. He is in a special program through the Pasco School District where he gets speech therapy provided for him twice a week. He recently learned to jump, which is a big deal for someone who can't control most of the right side of his body. He still has a hard time opening his right hand, but it is getting better. He is going to be featured again this year at a physical therapy conference. He was in it a few years ago, just after his stroke, and now, nearly 3 years later, they want to show the same group how the therapy provided by the ELKS Lodge has helped him progress. Last time they showed him off they received a record number of donations, they hope to get even more this time.
Here he is, just the other day, with his crooked smile.

I've been watching CL for the past few weeks, and will continue to. I ask on here because some people on here may have connections, or may see something while driving around town. As far as size, beggers can't be choosers. As long as I can fit on it.

I will be giving them a call. Hope they can come down a little bit since that is still above what my wife wants me to spend (and I have to keep the wife happy). Looked at one this weekend in Finley that was $300 cheaper, already worked great and had a snow plow. I', going to take a second look at it tomorrow and maybe grab it.

I might be interested in picking up the plow off you if that cuts your cost a bit more.

I hope that it is still there tomorrow. Thanks for the offer James, but necessity forced me into buying a large truck 6 months ago so I should be able to get it home. I may ask for some help unloading it from the truck once I get it home, and since you only live a few block over I may ask for some help.

My wife likes the snow plow idea, and doesn't mind me spending a little more for it. We have a few elderly couples that live on our street that my wife has become friends with, and they don't plow our street very well.

I just hope it's still there after I get off work at 11:00. That would be a good gift to myself for surviving another year of school as a Pasco teacher.

Sorry, was out of town for a few days. Saw it, gave them a call. I'm still trying to talk them down.

Today I got a call from some one who has one that I can have for free as long as I haul it away. Problem is, it's all in pieces right now. Says he has all the parts, and it was running fine when he took it apart but he just didn't have the time to put it all back together. I'm going to try and piece it back together. But I've never undertaken a job like this before. I may be asking for help later on if I can't figure out some of it.

I can think of several people on here who would have no problem assembling a quad. Some of them may speak up offering some help.

Thanks for all the help. I picked one up this morning. It only needs a few things fixed up. Already gave it an oil change and changed out the old gas for new. It has the front fender missing, but still runs just fine. I will need to find a way to protect my legs from a pipe that has a missing heat shield. It's right next to my right leg where the hot pipe is. Almost burned my leg riding it around the yard this morning. Thinking of getting some heat tape and an aftermarket strap on heat shield I found online. Still not a bad little bike for $200.

It is a 2007. 200cc with a chain. Not the most pretty on the front right side, but I'll keep my eyes open for parts to fix it up, but there's nothing wrong with how it runs.
Summer vacation. I've got most days free to take it out for a run.
