On Monday night (4/14) there is going to be a total Lunar Eclipse, also known as a Blood Moon. If the sky is clear enough for the moonlight to shine through I'm going for a ride. The eclipse is from something like 11:00pm to 01:00am with the full eclipse from 12:00am to 01:00am. Most of you probably work Tuesday morning, but come on, how many chances have you had to ride under a blood moon? I'm going to do some research to find out where the moon will look the coolest in Whatcom County, and then post more info. http://www.latimes.com/science/sciencenow/la-sci-sn-total-lunar-eclipse-20140404,0,5982190.story Ideas: "On April 14, at 10:58 p.m. PDT, the moon will move into Earth's shadow. The full lunar eclipse -- when the entirety of the moon is shaded by Earth -- begins just over an hour later at 12:07 a.m. and lasts until 1:25 a.m. PDT." The Moon will be at appx. 180* South (due south) at an altitude of 30* during the Eclipse. Does anyone know of an easy going ride with a clear view to the south?
