What are the best rainy day bikes out on the market?

I commute everyday (except Sunday) to work on the slab and off.
Since I don't have a car, it's always on the bike, regardless of weather.

Are there any bikes that work alright in the rain compared to others, and are still enjoyable in the sun?

I'm thinking of something along these parameters.
    1. Handling
    2. Price
    3. Weight

I'm not really sure there are any good bikes for the rain, just brave(/stupid) riders and good tires...

I just don't want to replace my bike* to find out the new bike doesn't like the rain.

*Probably a used Hornet, Nighthawk, or something.

The rain isn't THAT bad. Got caught out in the rain on a ride yesterday, the GSXR did just fine. Just like driving a car you need to be mindful of the road conditions and the fact that it will be slippery if it hasn't rained in a while.

Oh I know, and most days when it's overcast I still ride anyhow, but I'm curious if there are bigger bikes that are as equally forgiving as my VTR250.

The rain and snow/slush, don't keep me from going to work/class (depending on the class).
Unless they close due to snow. :scratchea, Why they do that I don't know.

I would think that it's more tire related than bike related.

Just don't rail it + you'll be good.

KLR650. Its a dual sport, so I don't worry much about washing it since its just going to get dirty again on the next rainy day. I ride rain or shine every day to work, and have for the last year and a half.
