  1. i purchased a new rear tire online and being new to vancouver area, can anyone direct me to a shop that will install/balance a new rear tire onto a rim off the bike for a decent price?

  6. A&M tire Co in Clackamas did mine for $20 buck.

Just found out Hoodview is less than a mile from where I work. Might have to stop in there!

  12. It is about a half mile from my house as well. They put tires on both my bike and my wifes. Brian the owner has been in the business for a number of years and has a ton of knowledge and is more than willing to answer any questions you have.

There is also a good local coffee shop right up the road from there as well.

  13. Hoodview is one of my sponsors and Brian is a great Mechanic and friend! I send everyone I know that way for service in SW Washington! Hopefully he will be able to stay in buisness with this shitty winter we are having(No snow=no snowmobile work for them) piled on top of the economy we have had the last couple of years!

  14. One of these afternoons I'm gonna have to admit to myself, that I'm too lazy to mount the tire I bought from him (about 3 months ago...) and just take it back up there and have him put it on.

  15. Dave I told you to just let me know when you want to do it, if you pull your wheel at your place and come over it takes me like 5 minutes man. Or drop your tire off one day and then ride her over whenever.

  16. Hoodview does an excellent job on vintage bike tire changes too.

No blown innertubes. Some places will pinch the inner tube and then you have to buy another one. Never had a problem @ hoodview.

Chris is also very cool. They have sodas and water in the fridge...pretty cheap too if i remember.

I will go there w/i a week to get a rear mounted pretty soon.

Drop it off and usually come back w/i an hour or three.
