Hey all, I just wanted to send a shout out to Thumper Pilot for saving my bacon today. After the Monkey Butt yesterday, I had recovered well (aside from the food poisening) and felt like going for a ride this fine evening knowing full well I was low on fuel. All was well until about a mile away from the gas station on Sunset when suddenly I could feel the life slip away from my duc. I coasted to a stop and was using my phone to find the nearest gas station. Then, a truck stops and the driver comes to my rescue. Coincidentally, the driver was a rider who I had met the day before as he also attended the Monkey Butt and we spoke briefly. Long story short, he gave me a ride to the gas station and then back to my bike and waited for it to come back to life (which it did on the first try). So, thanks again Thumper Pilot! I was not looking forward to pushing my bike a mile and a half to the gas station... Also, I am new to PNWRiders and relatively new to Bellingham, so I want to thank everyone for the awesome ride to Winthrop and I am glad to be a part of a riding community where people help each other. -Ducatisto.
