Sold!

  1. So....... I gave up. LOL. I wasn't in the mood to dump more time and energy and money into the bike.

The R6 has been sold, as is, for 1,700. He came and looked at it today. Wants the bike. Even threw in a secondary helmet for him. If everything goes well and according to plan, I'll meet him at the bank Tuesday morning when it opens. He'll give me the money, and I'll sign the title over to him. And I've even arranged to have it towed to the shop for him so he can get the work done on it. So it's off to start looking at newer bikes, which hopefully won't have so many issues. Anyone willing to go check out bikes with me once I find that I like??

Congratulations on getting released from your albatross.

The only downside I see it that you will get less of a workout walking when you are not pushing the bike. crackup:

Good luck with the search for a new steed.

  4. lol. thanks texas. for now I got a replacement bike to get me through til I buy a new one.

  5. +1

No cash in hand, it ain't sold..... buyer has all weekend to change his mind.

Good luck, hope it all works out.

  6. All it'd take is one look at your post history, 2dizzy, and I'd be afraid to get near that bike. But seriously, I hope it goes well for you.:thumblef:

  7. he knows the history of the bike. I told him everything that is wrong with it. i told him everything I've done to it. and I gave him all the service records. he knows what is going on with it and still wants it. i was upfront with him from the beginning.

If this guy has any money left over when you get through with him send him my way. I have several pieces of redneck yard art ("collectibles?") that Admiral Martha wants me to offload. crackup:

  13. You wouldn't happen to have any classic collectible tires, would you? crackup:

Until you have cash in your hand, I wouldn't assume it's sold.
