The Fat Chick's New Black Dress

Discussion in 'Motorcycle Talk' started by twiget, Aug 31, 2012.

  1. It had been a while since I spent any money on the Fat Chick, so I decided to make it up to her with a sexy new black dress.

This is what she looked like 2 weeks ago, pretty average for a Wee.

And here she is showing off her sexy new black dress:

I'll get some better pics this weekend, when I'm out and about.

  2. I'm kinda getting an A-Team vibe, but I like it.

  3. I like the before pictures WAY better.

    I kinda like both...

What did you use to do the flat black?

  5. lookin real good!

  6. My thoughts exactly! She looks good!

  7. crackup: Now that you mention it, I can totally see it. Was not the intent though.

I used Krylon Ultra Flat Black.

I like the flat black, but don't get colored over windscreen. It's something you might want to tuck behind and look through when the weather gets to be a bit too much.

my guess is he used some sort of flat black paint.

    duh.

  11. Right on!!! The A-Team vibe is why I like it!

And don't listen to GS1200. He doesn't like anything :tard:

  12. I've already cut the windshield down a couple inches, so it sits way below my sight line. Even when I tuck down against the tank, I can easily see over the top.

Ehh, he's not the first person to criticize my choice of colors. The only person I'm interested in pleasing, is myself. For those that like it  for those that dont :thefinge:

Let us know how it holds up to wear/washing. I'm curious to see if it looks as good in 6-12 months.

    Thanks captain obvious. :thefinge:

    Back to nursing your infant.

Did you use a chem resistant clear on the tank? If not, any gas that drips while filling up is going to ruin your nice paint job.

  17. I didnt put any clear on. The only flat clear that I could find in a rattle can was the Krylon flat, but it is not as flat as their Ultra Flat Black that I used.

Went to the gas station to fill up this morning. I was very careful not to splash any fuel, but sure enough, one small drop splashed out and landed on the tank. Now I've got a small blemish right next to the fuel cap. :rant

I'm thinking about putting a red vinyl stripe down the middle of the tank. That will protect the paint and match the red highlights.
