These bolts look pretty important, any idea where they go?

2005 636, had everything ripped apart, replaced thermostat housing. My brain is super foggy right now, what the heck are these bolts for. They look important since they are so big.

Are they from the engine mounts? Did you put frame sliders on?

I have frame sliders already on, but they are already screwed in. Or are these the bolts that were in place of the sliders?

With those collars they look like they go through a rubber gromet or plastic piece to me and they're fairly long. Try airbox as stated before or battery box depending on the bike.

EDIT: Is that grease or locktite on the end of the threads? They look like they could be through bolts if that is dirt/grease.

never touched the airbox, only took off gas tank/thermostat and obviously fairings.

annnd the bike still f'ing overheats. thermostat tested fine, fluids flushed. ordering a servo elim and hopefully that helps.

Bad water pump impeller. They could be out of the tabs on the back of the tank. They are usually rubber mounted.

The gas tank has 4 bolts, 1 up near handle bars, and two below the seat that are black. Then the pivot bolt.

I'm saying F it, obviously I didn't need the bolts. Rode around today and nothing fell off.

If you don't have bolts left over when you're done, you didn't do it right.
