I've been looking to get a 600 sport bike for a while since i sold my ninja 250. I found a triumph daytona 600 for 2800$ with some minor fairing damage, the only problem is i know nothing about triumphs. I love the way it looks but I want to find something that performs good too. I've been looking at cbr's too but there arent any in my price range. How are the triumphs compared to cbr's and gsxr's?

The Triumph Daytona 600 was a pretty good bike in it's day but it couldn't compete with the Japanese bikes of the same day in stock trim. All around a pretty good bike and I've seen the one you're speaking of also. If I was in the market, I'd probably have bought it myself, but I already have a red bike. Use Google to do some research (or whatever search engine you like) and scrub down some Triumph forums for info. Check it over throughly when you look at it, or bring someone with you that you trust to check it over if you don't have mechanical knowledge yourself.

    Good luck!
