In case you missed your chance at the last OPRT Trackday to see/sit on/ride the new V4 Tuono APRC, the regional demo bike has just come from Spokane to PNW Motorsports in Bellingham.

I've turned a few laps on this particular machine, and it's amazing. Head up to the 'Ham and check it out! All demo rides are free and only require an endorsement.

I got to ride an Aprillia years ago at some shop in Totem Lake. Probably the nicest most expensive bike I ever threw a leg over. RSV1000R.

Quite a bit different than the old dinosaur I currently ride.

Will check this out. Thanks for posting,

It's a surprising nimble machine when you get it out in the twisty stuff!

Well, I checked it out today. Thanks for the heads up Trail Boss. Quite the machine. It was hard to hold on over the ton.

Employee Ben filling up before my ride. Nothing was said about how long to be gone. I think I was gone for about an hour and a half. Ended up putting more fuel in it. Maybe about a 45 mile loop.

The ability to rock a naked liter bike over 150mph comes with time. You'll get there.

The bike is amazing enough to make it worth the effort.

That thing looks incredibly slow, terribly uncomfortable, and no fun at all. I bet the engine sounds awful too.

Relax, I'm just trying to convince myself to never test ride one. Bad things happen when I test ride.

I'll take one in black please...This is the only bike in recent history that I've really wanted to sell all of my bikes over and get it.

Is it true that the gas mileage is horrid thought? Not that it matters with a bike like that, just curious.

It's not so much that the gas mileage is that bad, it's the range that is bad. The Aprilia literature advertises that the fuel tank is 4.5 gallons.....it's more like 3.5-3.7 gallons. I can only get 95-105 miles before the fuel light is on. Filling up the bike I only fit 3 gallons in.

Seems Cycleworld likes the new Tuono too!

It's actually a combo of the two. Around 30 MPG combined with a small 3-4 gallon tank = shitty range. 90-120 miles MAX.

Around 30 MPG? Is this a magazine "testing" the bike?

Cause on the track my Speed Triple gets less than that, but I've also been able to get a little over 45 MPG cruising on the freeway.

I wouldn't be buying it to go touring, so I could live with 30mpg! :)

    Thanks.

I would not worry too much about the fuel mileage, but when you find yourself in the direction of Fossil, Oregon, there is really nothing out there, but some nice roads.

Wish it would come down this way too.... Maybe even Olympia, I'd be more than happy to make the trip up north that far just to test ride that machine!
