When the temps get close to 100 and more, do you limit the amount of time that you ride or try to ride earlier in the day? What's the hottest temps you'll ride in?

    dirty bikes!
    I've ridden up over 100.

Actually, when I ride on the road in hotter weather, I tend to ride more, and stop less! Airflow + sweat = cool riding

Dumping a water bottle on your shirt helps a bunch tooooo!

    off-road, just look for puddles!

  3. Max riding temp? Here in the northwest?

The warmer it gets, the less I have to ride in the rain :mfclap:

Pretty sure I've done a few 105ish degree Fossil rides. I haven't found my upper limit yet.

  6. Just got back from a ride. It's 103 out . Just soaked my shirt and hair before i left. It got a little hot at the end of ride by bearable. Ride was 98 miles.

  7. I went through Nevada in August in an AeroStitch full suit. As long as I have water, it's not too hot.

My rule of thumb is if it doesn't feel any colder riding at 70mph its too god damn hot. Problem is you can't stop because its not getting any cooler. A smart man once said, "if you are going thru hell keep going."

  10. No temp is too high as long as there is water near by.

  11. I like to depart 8am "ish" when its hot. My new fully perfed Alpinestars one piece worked great today. Got a bit hot standing around but as soon as I was moving things were pretty dang comfortable.

  12. About 107 is the hottest weather I've ridden it. Uncomfortable, but you know if you stop it'll be worse. I'll stop though when I get that dull ache behind the eyes that tells you heat stroke is on it's merry way. Down a bottle of water and go!

112F. After that things start falling off!

  14. Anything over 85 degrees usually I wont ride in. I like to wear gear, and the only gear i have is not perforated because hell 300 days out of the year here you want warm riding gear. So to gear up with gloves, boots, pants and leather jacket its fun for about an hour then its just hurrying home to get out of the hot equipment.

  15. It going to be 112 in vegas on tue. ride to work every day

As long as I'm moving and having fun... I don't care. I definitely keep a couple bottled waters in my tankbag on hot days. One to drink, & one to pour down the back of my neck.

  17. I made my deal with God over thirty years ago.......................I'll NEVER complain about being too hot again. I just drink lots of water.

  18. It was over 100 today going through Maupin on the way to Fossil. I was fine, just downed a bottle of water every time I stopped. My bike on the other hand, didnt care for those temp and was getting a little too hot at times

  19. I've rode in 115 deg temps in full leathers. That was too hot. The group I was with was stopping every hour to down a bottle of water and it was not enough.

It doesn't get that hot around here. Water and mesh gear is quite pleasant up over 100. I raced in full leathers at about 105 once.
