Aight, still early but found this interesting.

I don't expect much but it's cool to have another american rider in the mix. Holden at the least knows the BMW pretty well. He's from washington too!

I saw Laverty come out of his pit but didn't get a pic.

  4. Hopkins walked by us on his way to get ready yesterday.

Last year we were able to hang out in Roger Hayden's pit. That was cool.

Holden took last, but hey, he finished!

    Another podium for BMW

now i'm seeing race 2 was red flagged after 3 laps? what gives?

  8. I bet all ducati teams got a bad start, so they are getting a Mulligan.

  9. i think one of the japanese ducati riders crashed hard and cracked his pan, left oil all over the track. took about a hour for clean up then they were back at it.

Booyah!! Melandri wins race 2! Ties him for 2nd in the riders standings

It's gonna be so fucking lame if Biaggi wins the rider's championship by only winning a single race.

  11. Hiro inverted his honda and dumped out all it's juices. (Rea's teammate)

Sux for Checa, he's a nice guy though. Gave Biaggi 2 wins in and Melandri one today.

Only took Hayden 2 for his title. Riding safe and pointing each race. Seemed a bit scared of Rea.

If Kawi could deal with tire wear it wouldn't be much of a contest. Kawi is where BMW was with tires. Melandri was smart to bring his team.
Hope Haslam's not forgotten, Melandri's wife got more TV time LOL

  12. i was super stoked to see Melandri win, would have been cooler if Davies had held Biaggi off for 3rd. Sucks Sykes had a huge lead in race 1 and ended up way back.

all in all a sweet weekend, ill be back next year.

Oh Haslam will be back, he had electrical issues that gave his bike very little time to prepare and test on the track, and then he had a tire puncture during superpole.

What happened to Checa in race 2? Never saw a replay of his off on Speed's coverage. Sucks, he was on his way to a solid double too.

I suspect he just pushed a tad bit too hard...he set fastest lap of race 2 in the first few laps before he crashed.

  16. And you would have your boy, Melandri to blame for that if it did happen. Sweet teamwork at Donignton Park!

He went off the track. He came into the pits for a while and went back out. He ran a few laps and then called it quits. The announcers never said what happened.

Aoyama bit it and unloaded every liquid he had on the track. Not sure if some of it was body fluid. They delayed the "restart" for an entire hour, trying to clean it all up. A bit long. The restart screwed a few riders that were doing well when they red flagged it (hint, I'm an Aprilia fan).

Melandri had a good weekend. Looks like the BMWs are sorted out this year. Congrats. Not sure if Biaggi is done for the year, I wouldn't count him out on not winning any other races. If he continues to podium and not claim another win but takes the championship, I'm sure he'll be just as happy. I will continue to root for my make and both Aprilia riders.
