To get a pretty orange shirt you will have to prove yourself to Darrel and Jim. So come out, talk to them, they will follow you around, and if we need a control rider in the future you might have a chance.

Trust me being a control rider is not all it is cracked up to be.

Here's what I read-

If you can comfortably "back it in" to turn 4, you can probably hang if one of the other guys can't show that day. Plan to hold back on your skills.

I'd say Kyle and I are pretty close in speed now. Seems like whoever gets out front tends to stay there. I still have an advantage in turn 6 though I just need to grow a bigger pair and go faster into turn 1.
