I'm going. I'm going to re-take the class (this will be my 4th trackday). Registered for the 100 group, but I'm registered for the 200 group for the S100, so I better sack up!

I emailed them because the entry level was full and they opened up some more spots. So, I jumped in. PNW discount gets ya on the track for $179 (ten bucks off, coupon code is 'pnwriders'). Not a bad way to spend a day that I'd otherwise be workin? See everyone there. He said tech inspection starts at 645a ?!!??! Oy, I'm getting to bed early that night.

I forgot to ask everyone, is there anything recommended to bring with? Their site says bring some extra gas, tools and food because they don't break for lunch.

There is a race gas pump that is usually on but super pricey (right next to paddock area). I always bring food and liquids and some tools. Extra painters tape is always nice to have. Flip flops?

Have you been on the track there before? If not, the ride around before the first session is worth getting down there early for. I try to do that every time, just to get to check out the track that day.

Bring water, even if it's going to be cool.

They don't break for lunch but there is food offered. They have the bbq cooking up hotdogs and water bottles available.

Hiya tracksters!

Looks like I'm going to make this one if it's not raining in the morning. (Don't have full rain gear for over the leathers...and Drystar tex for the track, I think not...)

Anyhoo....I'll be riding in. Would anyone mind if I park by your pit so I have a place to leave my backpack 'o tools, tape, powerbars and gatorade? I would be most greatful.

Greg Awsome....I'll be on the 5:20 Bainbridge ferry if it's not raining. If you don't find a ride I could meet ya and ride over to the track if you'd like.

Ummmm, is there a methadone program available after this or am I going to die broke and addicted under a pile of worn out tires?

I'm thinking about cracking the piggy bank open for another fix this weekend at the NESBA thing now ($205 X 2 days = ouch). The 20 mins on the track was always over waaaay too soon and the 40 mins off the track after each session went by in a blink. By the time 4p rolled around, I was still ready for more. I mean, I brought extra gas?!?

hook....line....sinker. You're screwed now! Glad you had a good time.

BTW, don't forget about this: The 2009 Seattle 100 Needs You

It is still possible to raise the monies. If you thought today was fun...It's even more fun getting beat up around the track by AMA pros!

Well, my frnds are all waaay too cheap and unemployed to donate a collective $500 for anything and none of them like motorcycles at all either. I'd have better luck trying to cough up $500 out of my own pocket to do that event. It was my first track day ever and I got beat up by plenty of people today anyway. Even the girls were passing me around the outside (I'd never call any of them slow!). The thought of having AMA pros do it is enough to make me want to only come down to spectate for the S100.

As the day went on, I figured out that bleeding off tire pressure was the single biggest factor in getting enough grip to get confidence in all the corners that I was having trouble in. I didn't touch my suspension adjustments even once but, as soon as I got the tires psi down into the low 20's, I really started feeling better about leaning over on to the edges, carrying more corner speed and opening up the throttle earlier. Maybe that was down to the perfectly comfortable 65 degree temps but, my tires felt like grease until they got some heat into them with those low pressures. I just went with my own feel instead of any recommended pressures. They sure did get worn though. I got about 125 miles of track time in today and that scrubbed em down quite nicely.

Nice meeting you (and others) today GA. As always, 2-fast runs a great event. I'm really looking forward to the S100 in a few weeks.

Big thanks to Monica (hope I got your name right) the instructor for the feedback in the first session. Very helpful.

Even talked to Jake Holden for about 10 min. and he signed the tail section of my 999S today . Fun day, but I wont go in 200 if they run the race class again, man what a f#*^kin fraight train., everytime you get a good lap going you run into the back of another group, and the last session being bumped to let them practice kinda sucked. Other than that it was a blast.

Low 20's , Man, go look at the boards and talk to the tire guys there, they will help you soooooooooooo much, and they know what they speak of, they work with all the racers and are so willing to help you. (FOR FREE)
When you get done there go see Berry at GP suspention, for about $40.00 he will keep you up on 2 wheels.
