He'll be riding it at the sullivan track day this friday, July 10th. It'll be fun to see how the stock bike holds up against the expert group... maybe even sully himself? that's something I'd love to see |

He was trapping at 180+ bone stock, and the rider from BMW wasnt very fast. Then again, he probably wasnt pushing. But he was getting passed left and right. Only thing that made me go.... ![]() He started it up for me by request, when they rolled it out at 8am... and when he started it, it belched some light blue smoke for roughly 5 seconds. Hmmm........ dunno. |

He did 2 runs in the expert group than dropped down to intermediate. His reason was that it was too tempting to keep up with everyone in expert. I bet he could have. The reason? 2-3 weeks ago the former westcoast rep wadded his up smoking everyone on the track. He got too big of a head from what i've heard. Some young gun. If you were riding one of 3 in the nation, and knew that your job was toast if you crashed it, I bet you'd ride a lil slower too. | |

Some cool adjustablity, more than the average bike, less than the KTM. Good quality componentry. Nice swing arm/shock set up, front brakes, forks. It was one of 3 pre production bikes touring the US. So some of the parts will probably change in appearance if not function prior to production. Looks to be a decent Super Sport bike. Swing arm looks nice and long, compact engine set up. No silly under seat exhaust or single sided swing arm BS. Small, but not tiny like the CBR1000RR Its not AS ugly in person. In any case it will look really great in race plastic!(But I won't be trading in my current 1098R street/poseur bike anytime soon...) Sounds.... Japaneese Looks....Japeneese Probably will make a decent bike.... Like a Japaneese Super Sport. Didn't see any Tuetonic performance design influences... No Duo-lever or Paralever, single sided swing arm or opposed cylinders. It looked, sounded and I bet it probably road like a good Japaneese inline. I think thats a good thing. In any case, I like the European option... Aprilia, BMW, Ducati, KTM! Cool. But I have learned my lesson! I race Japaneese! |

Maybe the first shots of this bike on a US track? Either way, was a cool bike, and the rep was really nice. ![]() ![]() |
