I have a suggestion. Like any couple with family that disapproves of their forbidden love, I think WMMRA should take OMMRA down to Vegas this winter, get good and liquored up and get married by a drive-thru Elvis. By the time the nay sayers know what's happened, it'll be too late....

Ya just saw that, gives some hope to the idea. In the late 90's we use to race jet-ski's in WA, OR and in BC successfully. The structure was a bit different, as in one sanctioning body, 1 rule book, and one class structure. Promoters put on the races, not clubs, but the core of what made it successful was the same......the dedication and leadership of the few that were running the show. When that changed it all evaporated quickly.

So really it isn't that hard to make it work at all IF you have the right people and enough depth to keep it rolling. It's mostly about who will do it, not how will we do it.
